        ― Anonymous

In an era where environmental consciousness and creativity intersect, the concept of 'Best out of Waste' has gained significant traction. This innovative approach highlights the boundless possibilities of transforming discarded materials into artful masterpieces. Keeping this in mind, the Eco Club of MBS International School organised - ‘Best out of Waste: Greeting Card Making Activity’ for the students of class IV on 16 August 2023.

During the activity, students learned that by harnessing creativity, they can turn scraps of paper, fabric, buttons, and various other materials that might otherwise be destined for the waste bin into eye-catching designs that carry sentimental value. Moreover, the ‘Best out of Waste’ approach imparts an essential lesson in responsible consumption and waste reduction. It encourages a shift in perspective, where discarded items are seen as opportunities for artistic exploration rather than mere disposables.

In conclusion, the art of creating greeting cards through the ‘Best out of Waste’ method not only ignites the spark of creativity but also reinforces the ethos of environmental stewardship.”

Kindergarten kids utilised glaze paper to demonstrate their inventiveness by tearing and pasting in an umbrella. They were completely engrossed in the activity where the facilitator also enriched their vocabulary by telling them new words like gumboots, raincoat, umbrella, puddle etc. The children enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the activity in which their creative skills were fostered.

On 27 July 2023, MBS International School conducted an exciting Intra-class ‘Object Talk Activity’ for Class II students to promote creativity, communication, and confidence among students. The activity provided a platform for students to showcase their presentation skills, share personal experiences, and demonstrate their knowledge of a chosen object. The students were informed to bring any object of their choice and they came up with various interesting objects like mobile phone, stethoscope, toy car etc. and explained their characteristics in an impressive manner.

A key part of the school curriculum, ‘Object Talk’ is an important part of a child's learning development, as it helps them to organise information and build their confidence. It's also a great way to encourage a child's interest in a particular topic and a chance for children to think outside the box a little.

The enthusiastic participation of the students made the activity an enriching learning experience. Overall, it was a spectacular learning experience for the kids!

"Good things are associated with blue, like clear days, more than singing the blues. Just the word ‘blue’ in the singular is full of optimism and positive connotation to most people."   David Carson

MBS International School celebrated ‘Blue Colour Day’ on Tuesday, 1 August 2023 with the students of Nursery and Kindergarten.

It was a fun-filled day where all the students were dressed in their ‘Blue Attire’ and had different blue colour objects to share in the class. Students were explained the significance of the colour blue and also about its calming and soothing effects on the mind.

The Nursery students had a delightful time decorating a picture of fish using blue coloured painted rice. In contrast, the Kindergarten students honed their fine motor skills by engaging in activities such as drawing and colouring in the worksheets. These activities not only made the learning experience enjoyable for the students but also provided them with a better understanding of various shades of blue.

It was a day filled with creativity, learning, and fun, leaving lasting memories in the students hearts and inspiring them to explore the world of colours with enthusiasm and curiosity.

“No language can express the power and beauty and heroism of a mother’s love.” — Edwin Hubbell Chapin

A mother is not only the first teacher but also a friend indeed. She loves her children unconditionally and guides them on the right path in life. The bond between a mother and her child is inexplicable. In order to celebrate the beautiful occasion of Mother's Day, MBS International School organised 'Honour the Mother (Paper Award)' activity for Class II wherein students made a paper badge for their mothers.

The children came up with new and innovative ideas for their badges. They wrote a beautiful message for their mothers. The outcome of their efforts was astounding.

Overall, the dedication of our tiny tots paid off splendidly, as each badge turned out to be extraordinary in its own way. It was an incredible way to make Mother's Day even more meaningful and memorable!
