MBS International School celebrated Graduation Day Ceremony on Saturday, February 23,2019 to commemorate the talents and achievements of the ‘pre-scholars’ in a befitting culmination of their formal years of schooling.
The event commemorated with lighting of the auspicious lamp of knowledge invoking blessings of the Almighty. The Head of the school, Ms. Inderjit Kaur Batra, in her inspiring address, congratulated the prodigies, as she quoted, "Graduation is not the continuum of life, but a series of continuing steps where education and schooling experiences culminate in a beautiful journey called life.”
The tiny tots put up a brilliant display of confidence and charisma, as they presented an endearing dance performance, enthralling the spectators. The energy and vibrancy was evident as the adorable kids presented an exhilarating Fashion Show, garnering applause from the cheering audience.
It was a moment of pride when the young champions, donning the ‘graduation hats’ were conferred with Citations and Trophies in appreciation for their achievements and talents.
The parents and guests appreciated the tremendous efforts made by the school in grooming the children, to stride ahead in life.
FAREWELL 2019
Farewell! a word that must be, and hath been - A sound which
makes us linger; - yet - farewell!
A nostalgic ceremony on February 10, 2019 marked the farewell day as the school bid adieu to Class XII students. The event marked the beginning of a new journey, a journey towards their board exams, their college life and finally a prosperous career. The ceremonious lamp lighting by the Head of the school and School Coordinators was an auspicious beginning to the event. The day started on a joyous note as the students reminisced their most cherished and fond memories of the school life. The School Coordinator
welcomed Class XII and wished all the students luck for their future endeavours.
The cultural programme truly touched the hearts of all the students and at the same time made them very sentimental. An exuberant dance performance by the students of class XI brought back all the fun and frolic of the day to the atmosphere. The Head of the School in her address, inspired them to surge ahead and come out with flying colours. It was a momentous occasion for the outgoing batch to receive their citations and titles highlighting their talents and achievements, a nostalgic reminder of their rewarding years in the school.
The students were gifted mementoes, preserving memories and best wishes from all.
A sumptuous lunch and dance party that ensued, left everyone enthralled. The day was a history, with all its zest and zeal!
EXPRESSIONS 2019
MBS International School, Dwarka celebrated ‘Expressions’ a spectacular display of talent, gait and confidence, on February 9, 2019. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting in the gracious presence of Mrs Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Leader of the House, South Delhi Municipal Corporation, who was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Head of the School, Ms. Inderjit Kaur Batra formally welcomed the august gathering comprising distinguished guests, parents and students.
The invocation dance was a befitting portrayal of rhythm and finesse, invoking the supreme blessings of lord Ganesha. The fusion dance that ensued was a cultural mosaic showcasing the richness of our varied Indian cultures whereas the School Orchestra was harmonious bonhomie which transported the audience to the world of musical symphony. The annual school report chronicled achievements of the school in the domains of scholastic and co-scholastic arena during the year 2018-19. The musical presentation ‘Pied Piper of Hamelin’, a kaleidoscope of brilliance, colour and creativity, garnered much applause and appreciation of all the guests, as they basked in the magic of the talented young actors. Expressions culminated with a grand finale by all the young artists. A vote of thanks proposed by the Primary Coordinator, Mrs Savita Chhillar, acknowledged the efforts of the students. The event lived up to the mission statement of the school which is to empower the mind, body and soul of all the students.
WINTER CARNIVAL
The Winter Carnival was held with great enthusiasm and a lot of fun and frolic at MBS International School Sector-11, Dwarka on Saturday,29 December 2018. Mouth- watering food, games, exciting prizes and fun time with friends and dear ones made this event unforgettable. Students visited the carnival with their families as it was open to all. The carnival was inaugurated by the Principal and he was full of praise for the marvellous efforts put in by the staff and students.
With an endeavour to promote scientific attitude amongst the budding students a Science Exhibition was also put up by the students of classes IV to VIII. More than 150 students displayed models.
A very special area that is the Selfie Booth and Tattoo making added glamour to the fiesta. The Buggy Ride was indeed enthralling.
The game stalls such as ‘Ring The Cap’, ‘Pop The Balloon’ etc. were enticing enough to make everybody try their hand at it. The zeal among the students was such that they couldn’t help tapping their feet to the music.
The bright faces and happy smiles were ample proof that the MBS International School Winter Carnival was a great success.
Ceremonial opening of Dragon Learn.In
MBS International School paves way for students to discover new terrains and widen their intellect for better assimilation and empowered learning. The school partnered with an international e-learning platform, Dragonlearn.in, a large-scale interactive project-the second National Online Competition in Mathematics. It was a matter of honour for school to host the ceremonial opening of the second national online Math Competition "Plus" in the presence of the School Principal, ‘pressed the interactive "Start" button on December 5, 2018. It is an international portal for Mathematics learning initiated for students of five countries namely, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Our students of Grade I-VIII enrolled for the assessment which will appraise their mathematical proficiency, besides the reasoning and analytical skills. The online format allows every child to take part regardless of their level of knowledge, social and geographical background.
A unique learning experience indeed!
Grandparent’s Day Celebrations
“A Grandparents love is strong & deep filled with memories to cherish & keep”
Grandparents are the precious stalwarts of our families and are instrumental in shaping the fabric of our lives. To honour our dear Grandparents, MBS International School celebrated Grandparent’s Day on Friday, November 30, 2018 in the school premises.
The celebration commenced with the scintillating invocation dance of Ganesh Vandana followed by lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp.
The children from Classes Nursery to II exhibited a startling presentation of Ballet – Balderdash – The Wizard, A Colourful Bonanza for their Parents & Grandparents.
Our school advisor Ms. Inderjit Kaur Batra, while addressing the gathering stated that the students should not only be imparted excellent education but also be given great scruple value for the harmonious development.
Mr. Dharampal Bhardwaj, Deputy Chief - Delhi Fire Services was the Chief Guest for the evening.
The vote of thanks was proposed by the Primary Coordinator, Ms. Savita Chhillar. She stated that such special events allow each child to foster imagination, creativity, communication and collaboration.
The celebration ended on a high note with everyone fully satiated with the love and companionship of each other.
Smt Gyan Devi Memorial Inter School Competition
We are extremely pleased to share with you that MBSians have surpassed others by winning ROLLING TROPHY in Smt Gyan Devi Memorial Inter School Debate Competition held at Adarsh Public School, Vikas Puri.
Our Meritorious Students *Parth Sarthi Sood-VII B, Aryan Vishwkarma-VII C Bagged First Position with the cash Prize of Rs 1500/- and 1000/- respectively.
Shambhavi Singh-XII A, bagged III position with the cash prize of Rs 1000/- each. Our students have shown a commendable performance in this competition.
CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION
“I like being with children and talking to them and, even more, playing with them. For the moment I forget that I am terribly old and it is very long ago since I was a child.” – Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru
The children’s day assembly was conducted on November 14, 2018 at MBS International School to mark the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The assembly was conducted by the teachers in order to show their love for the children.
The assembly began with the thought for the day read by Ms. Niharika . This was followed by a dance performance and a melodious musical rendition by the teachers. An English poem highlighting the importance of childhood was recited by Ms. Radhika.
The students enjoyed each and every performance of their teachers. The teachers exhibited immense enthusiasm and inspired all to move ahead in life with confidence and courage. The function was a delight for the students as they witnessed their teachers like never before. The message conveyed through the various programmes in the function was that the students should enjoy their childhood to the fullest. The celebration was a great success and the students really enjoyed it. It has left the students with wonderful memories to cherish.
The Principal wished the students and encouraged them to participate in all the activities. To add delight to the celebration of Children’s Day chocolates were distributed among the students. The assembly concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony held to recognize the talents of students in various categories for the session 2018-19.
It was a fun filled day for the MBSians, which would always be cherished as a fond memory.
SKILL BAZAAR
MBS International School organized Skill Bazaar on November 3, 2018 in the school playground. The event commenced with hearty welcome to the parents and the students. It was followed by the cultural programmes which included semi-classical dance by Niyonika Mathur of Class XI A, Gujarati folk Dance by the students of Middle Wing. The enthusiastic dance troupe of class III A presented a foot-tapping dance to add vibrancy to this colourful event.
The Skill Bazaar had in hand some of the games stalls , food stalls and Art stalls. The creativity of the students was displayed in the gel candles and diyas kept there for sale. The proceeds of the Skill Bazaar were donated to the charitable organization.
The happiness and pride in the eyes of the parents was much evident as they witnessed their children performing on the stage. The event was enjoyed by the parents and the students. The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the anchors Vatsla Kapoor of IX B and Isha Sharma of VIII B.
Revels
MBS International School, Dwarka believes in providing innumerable opportunities to students to sap their intellectual competence with creative accomplishments.
Pursuing with its commitment to imbibe the finer nuances of Creativity, Visual Awareness, Fine Motor Skills and Novelty of Thoughts in young learners, the school organised Revels-2018 an Inter School Fest on Friday, October 12, 2018 which witnessed participation of more than 300 students from different Play Schools.
The Programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the presence of our honourable School Advisor . Our Primary Coordinator, Ms Savita Chhillar welcomed the distinguished guests, judges and participating schools.
Interesting activities based on the theme ‘Ocean Gallery’ inspired the students to celebrate the overwhelming and fascinating ocean world.The students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in different activities such as Ocean Scape, Ocean Treasure Speak, Spin-a-Tale to name a few.
Ms Inderjit Kaur Batra lauded the performance of the students and appreciated the achievers.
Fun Races
“Sports is the greatest physical poetry and music with rhythmic beats.” MBS International School organized Fun Races for Grade Nursery -II students on Friday, October 5, 2018. The theme for the Fun Races was ‘Clean India Green India”. Students were motivated and inspired to Run For Fun. They were energetic, high spirited and avidly waited for their turns. All students participated with great enthusiasm. They were super excited with all the fun that came along with running the different races.
They understood the concept of “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” and learnt to keep their surroundings clean.
MOVIE TIME ON GANDHI JAYANTI
MBS International School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti to commemorate birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation-Mahatma Gandhi. Our little MBSians celebrated Bapu’s birthday in school a day prior to, on 1st October,2018 with great zeal & enthusiasm.
The children were shown a movie on the life of “Bapu”. They were also told that the United Nations also celebrates October 2 as the International Day of non-violence to honour Gandhiji’s belief in peace & non-violence. The tiny-tots of MBS were encouraged to think about the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, analyze the importance & to understand the value of freedom.
Back in the class the children were acquainted with Gandhiji’s image again and the day closed with Gandhiji’s favourite song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” resonating in the air.
MBS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PARTICIPATES IN AN INTER FAITH PRAYER MEET

The school brimmed with pride when it got a momentous opportunity to participate in An Inter Faith Prayer Meeting organized by Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti on 2nd October, 2018 at Gandhi Smriti, 5, Tees January Marg, New Delhi. The event witnessed spirited and enthused participation of the eleven students, escorted by our teachers, Ms. Seema Wadhawan and Ms. Megha.
The School choir, comprising eleven students, was provided with once-in-a-lifetime to perform live in the presence of Honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Days of vigorous rehearsals culminated in the melodious and heart touching rendition of bhajans and prayers, a befitting homage to truth and reaffirmation of the fact that non-violence was the only answer to all the violence around us.
The organizers resonated profound gratefulness for the stirring and unforgettable experience as the nation joined in unison to celebrate the 149th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and International Day of Non-violence.

ON THE SPOT PAINTING COMPETITION
MBS International School ,Sector -11 Dwarka organized “On The Spot Painting Competition-Paint Your Imagination”on September 26,2018.To be creative means to be in love with life amp; enhance its beauty.Transformation of this quality into visual expressions by the budding artists weaving brush strokes of poetry was the main aim of this endeavour. The main thrust was towards stirring the imagination & providing a pedestal for innovation,exploration& aesthetics.
Ananya Kamboj-Cross Cultural Event: An Indo Russian Friendship Story

The students got an envious opportunity to visit the Embassy of Republic of Russia to participate in a Cross cultural event, organised by BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with the embassy to acknowledge the young journalist, Ananya Kamboj, 14 years. Ananya from Chandigarh share her valuable insights from her book “My Journey from Mohali to St. Petersburg”, to inspire our budding writers with her expertise.
The event witnessed luminous presence of dignitaries such as Honourable Mr. Nikolay Kudashev, Russian Ambassador, Dr. Anoop Mittal, Chairman, BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Ashok Singh, Vice Chairman, BRICS, CCI and Dr. BBL Madhukar, Director General of BRICS CCI.
The event opened novel vistas of learning as they interacted with the prodigy and were apt audience to the rich experience of friendly connection which Ananya shared, reading excerpts from her book. The educative interface left our students enlightened and empowered.
Teacher's Day
MBS International School, Dwarka celebrated Teacher’s Day with zeal and zest on September 5, 2018. There was an unusual excitement in the school atmosphere which was quite contagious. The students of classes XI & XII took over the duties of the teachers for the day. A special morning assembly was held in which the students paid homage to their teachers through poems, speeches and cultural program. The School Advisor Ms. Inderjeet Kaur and Principal Mr. Atul Wadhawan, Senior Coordinator Ms. Nandita Sikarwar and Junior Coordinator Ms. Savita Chillar were felicitated by the students council. The Principal, Mr. Atul Wadhawan, addressing the entire school, lauded the entire staff for their exemplary contribution to the school’s phenomenal success. He also appreciated the sincerest efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student. This was followed by a vibrant dance performance by the students. The day had an emotional and recreational touch. The students did all the preparations with complete energy and excitement. The students gave the title cards prepared by them to their teachers. Talented singers of the school, enthralled the audience with their song. Teachers were touched by the warm gesture made by all the students of the school as they made each teacher feel special on this day. The event ended with national anthem. After dispersal of students there was a ceremonial get together in which cake cutting ceremony took place in the presence of the School Heads and teachers. Many games were arranged for the teachers to add the frolic to the day. Addressing the teachers on the occasion, School Advisor Ms Inderjeet Kaur extolled the role of teachers in a student’s life. In the ceremony, School Chairman Mr.Gulshan Kumar conceded teachers efforts with the Recognition Award conferred by Senior Coordinator Ms. Nandita Sikarwar and Junior Coordinator Ms. Savita Chillar and Ms.Rishu Kaul and Ms. Vidushi Bajaj. The cherry on the cake was Best Teacher Award grabbed by Ms Shiny Benjamin and Ms Neetu Verma. All the teachers were given a small token of love which was followed by refreshments. It was truly a memorable day for the teachers and all the students.
Janmashtami
The special assembly was held on 31st August,2018 to celebrate Janmashtami. The event was organized by classes 11-C and 2-D. Students of both senior and junior wing participated in many cultural events and were very excited to perform in front of the school. A musical rendition was performed by the MBSians to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna. The performance was followed by a dance performance by class II D. The students were filled with zest and excitement to witness the Nukkad Natak based on the theme of “ Beti Bachao, Beti padhao.” Lovisha Jain sang a melodious song “Yashomati Maiya” which was followed by another dance performance. The students danced very elegantly. After the cultural events, Prize distribution ceremony took place. Students were felicitated by certificates and trophies for the competition “Mat-A- Magic” and “Jewellery Design”.
72nd Independence Day
MBS International School celebrated the nation’s 72nd Independence Day with great zeal and spirit befitting the occasion and remembered with gratitude the sacrifice of the freedom fighter. The commemorations began in the school premises with the unfurling of the National flag by our revered Advisor ma’am Ms Inderjeet, Esteemed Principal Sir Mr.Atul Wadhawan, Senior coordinator ma’am and junior coordinator ma’am and all in unison sang the National Anthem to pay homage to the nation. Students presented a colourful spectacle of music, dance and drama showcasing the struggle to achieve the dawn of Independent India. The spree started with the New India Pledge taken by the students to eradicate poverty and corruption. The celebration continued with a patriotic song by the students of classes VI to VIII which enthralled the audience and filled them with patriotic fervor. Students of class III dramatized and showcased the valour of freedom fighters and paid homage to the efforts of the leaders of independent India. The highlight of the program was the enactment of the Indian freedom struggle named ‘Vande Matram’by the students of different classes. It urged today's generation to value the freedom we have secured after the sacrifices of many. The student of classXI-C expressed her sentiments and aspirations for the country through a speech. A new definition of what independence means for the contemporary India was given with the classical dance act called ‘Jagao Mera Desh’ . A speech by the Principal Mr. Atul Wadhawan aroused patriotic zeal and fervor in the students. He urged that the sovereignty and integrity of the country should be maintained. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
