MBS International School celebrated the vibrant and joyous festival of Baisakhi with great gusto and religious fervor. The special assembly was conducted on 12 April 2024, Friday by the students of Curie House to welcome the harvest season. The event brought together students, teachers, to commemorate this auspicious day that holds immense cultural and historical significance.The school premises was beautifully decorated with traditional motifs, creating a festive ambiance. An outstanding role play highlighting the historical and cultural significance of Baisakhi was staged by the students of class IV &V, educating everyone about the festival's origins and traditions. Students of senior wing sang traditional Baisakhi songs and played musical instruments which enthralled the students.The rhythm of bhangra resonated through the air. Students performed Bhangra on the beats of dhol. The speech was delivered by a student of class X , elucidating the importance of Baisakhi in Indian culture and history, emphasizing values such as unity, harvest, and community spirit. Students and teachers came dressed in traditional attire, adding to the festive atmosphere. The Baisakhi celebration fostered cultural awareness, unity, and a sense of pride among students and staff. It provided a platform for everyone to come together, celebrate diversity, and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of India.The school Principal,Mr Atul Wadhawan addressed the assembly and told about the special significance of this harvest festival. The assembly concluded with the school song and national anthem.Overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable experience for everyone involved, leaving lasting impressions of joy and camaraderie.
