OUT IN THE GARDEN
“Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature.”
Gardens engage students by providing dynamic environments in which to observe, discover, experiment, nurture, and learn. These gardens connect students to plants, soils, ecology, and a multitude of other concepts in a hands-on, experiential learning environment. School garden or home garden helps child to discover where their food comes from and form the foundation for making healthier food choices.
To nurture life skills in youth and to inculcate responsibility in our students MBS International School, organized ‘Out in the garden’ activity for the Pre-schoolers and Pre-Primary students on November 23rd and 24th, 2021.
The idea behind this activity was to promote a sense of responsibility towards nature and its conservation. Since children are the future of tomorrow, educating them about preserving and balancing the environment becomes highly essential. The tiny tots attended their classes out in their home garden, so that they can cherish the beauty of nature. Pre-schoolers made beautiful bouquet using colorful origami sheets and Pre-Primary students made. The vibrant color of flowers and its fragrance could be felt on the happy faces of children. The activity was not only refreshing but also helped the students to distinguish between different flowers, their uses, their colors & different parts.
Watching seeds grow is an amazing science lesson for kids as they are very curious about life and growth of living things.
As part of the experiential learning the ‘Germination of seeds’ activity was conducted for the students of Pre-Primary &Pre-School on Monday and Friday i.e. November 22,2021 and November 26,2021 at MBS International School, the main motive of this activity was to demonstrate how plants grow from seeds.
The students germinated the seed in a paper cup under the guidance of their parents and noticed the growth over a week’s time.
This activity provided them an opportunity to observe the process of changing a seed to a sapling and then to a plant. Their happiness was on the peak when they saw a little plant coming out. Pre-primary students showcased steps of germination through free hand drawing and pre-schoolers through clay.
This seed growing activity turned out amazingly well. The kids really loved observing the progress of seed each day!
GURU NANAK JAYANTI
India is known as the land of festivals and Guru Nanak Jayanti is one of them, which has its perception and significance. On Thursday, November 18,2021 MBS International School celebrated Guru Nanak Jayanti with lot of religious zeal and fervor. Guru Nanak Jayanti or Gurupurab is the festival where Sikhs celebrate the birth of their first guru — Guru Nanak. The celebration began with enchanting prayers followed by a presentation on why we celebrate Guru Nanak Jayanti.
The students of Pre primary coloured the holy symbol ‘Ek Onkar’ in their PAC book. ‘Ek Onkar’ is the symbol that represents the one supreme reality and is a central tenet of Sikh religious philosophy. They made Nishan Sahib and enjoyed a lot.The day was filled with great joy and enthusiasm.
The tiny tots of Preschool celebrated this festival on Wednesday November 17, 2021. They also understood the importance of celebrating Guru Nanak Jayanti.
PARTS OF PLANT
“Plants give us oxygen for the lungs and for the soul.”
Children have the potential to bring incredible change to our world. But first, we need to acknowledge their value. These sayings about children encourage us to give them our love, care and attention. And when teaching involves fun filled activities students tend to learn the most. An activity of ‘Parts of plant’ for the little hands was organized by MBS International School on Monday and Tuesday, November 15,2021 and November 16,2021 for Preschool and Preprimary respectively.
The teacher apprised the students with the importance of plants in our life and also made them aware about the parts of the plants.
The students of Pre-primary created the model of the ‘Parts of the Plant.’ The students performed the activity using clay. Some students spoke about importance the plant.
The students of Preschool also created the model of the ‘Parts of the plant’ by thermocol cup, paper, ice-cream stick, wool and poster colours. Students enjoyed the activity and some students spoke about plant.
This activity enhanced dexterity, fine motor skills and helped to boost the self-confidence of the children. Children were able to evaluate the form and content of works of art. They were able to recognize elements of design works of art.
Children showed a lot enthusiasm for the activity and enjoyed a lot.The objective of this session was to facilitate concrete learning showcased by the children.
PURPLE COLOUR DAY
‘We love purple, we love Purple.
Yes we do, yes we do.
Purple are grapes, eggplants and plums too.
Just for me and just for you.’
Purple is a colour that symbolizes compassion, creativity, dignity, royalty, magic, free spirit. Purple day was celebrated in MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka on Monday, November 8, 2021.and Tuesday, November 9,2021. by the students of Preschool and Pre-primary.
It was a fun filled day where all the students as well as the teachers were dressed in their ‘Purple Attire’ and had different purple colour objects to share in the class.
Students were shown the magic where purple colour appeared after mixing red and blue colour.They were also shown different shades of purple.
To make the learning process more inclusive children of Preschool were involved in making a purple selfie frame and the students of Pre-primary were involved in making the purple day greeting card.
Children enjoyed and were engrossed in the learning process.
It was a fun and frolic day for the little ones….

An activity of ‘Autumn Season’ for the little hands was organized by MBS International School on Monday, 25 October 2021(Preschool) and Tuesday, 26 October 2021by pre primary classes respectively. The teacher told the children about the festivals that comes in the Autumn season, also about the vegetables and fruits which come in this season Teacher told about the animals who collect the food in this season through integrated approach of teaching.
The students of Pre-primary created their own Autumn fall “Tree”. The students of pre-primary used coloured paper , different leaves and poster colours to complete the activity of tree. Students were engaged in craft activities. Some students spoke about the tree.
The students of Preschool also made the Autumn tree with the help of Empty bottle, poster colours. Students enjoyed the activity and students were encouraged to talk about their tree and what they observe in the garden in this Season.
The teacher told the children which festivals come in the autumn season, told about the vegetables and fruits which come in this season. And also told about those animals who collect their food in this season.
This activity enhanced dexterity, fine motor skills and helped to boost the self-confidence of the children.
Children were very enthusiastic in this activity and they enjoyed a lot.
The objective of this season was to facilitate concrete learning showcased by the children.
IN THE JUNGLE
Walking in the Jungle, Walking in the Jungle,
We are not afraid, We are not afraid.
In the month of October, 'In the Jungle' activity was organized for the tiny tots of the Preprimary wing. It provided them with a unique educational exposure to the amazing world of animals. Preprimary children made the tiger and lion using pastel sheets. Our Preschool children made a bear face using an old CD. They learnt interesting facts about the incredible creatures. Hearing the sounds of different animals added sparks of joy and thrill in the young MBSians eyes. It was an innovative way to educate and entertain the students and make them appreciate the wonders of the animal’s life. The students were able to name different water animals.
They were very excited and happy making their own wild animals. Some of the students were also enacted like wild animals. It was a wonderful sight.
It is believed that spending a happy time, full of laughter, fun and free of stress helps the kids as well as adults to build stronger immune systems.
To develop memory training and cognitive skills an activity ‘Scrabble’ was conducted for Pre-primary wing of MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka
It was an interesting session wherein students played scrabble without taking any help from their parents.
Scrabble is much more than just a word game. It is actually considered to be a game of strategy that can teach children analytical thinking and concentration.
Playing Scrabble can strengthen student’s memory, and their ability to recall. Besides improving the vocabulary of the children, scrabble also offers entertaining time to the entire family.
Session was thoroughly enjoyed by the students. Overall, this session helped our little MBSian to enhance their cognitive skills.

Halloween, is a fun day observed in various parts of the world on October 31st every year . The popular Halloween holiday, has its roots in ancient European traditions and people light bonfires and dress up as ghosts and witches to ward off evil spirits.
With the same festive spirit, the Pre-primary department of MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka geared up to celebrate this international festival on Friday, 29 October 2021. The students and teachers decorated their homes with scary yet extraordinary handmade crafts like, Mosaic Jack-O-Lanterns, paper bats, owls, witches, monsters etc.
The event started with the students sharing a few lines each about Halloween. Keeping in mind the popular tradition of Trick-Or-Treat and the spine-chilling setting of Halloween, the students dressed up as ghosts, witches, halloween pumpkins and monsters, presented an action song, Knock, Knock Trick or Treat and Walking down the streets on Halloween Night.
A special spooky craft of pumpkin was created by the children too!
Preschool tiny tots made the pumpkin using clay which helped them in enhancing their aesthetic and fine motor skills.
The children had a wonderful time and parents too were seen smiling happily during the celebration.
POP UP CARD
A greeting card expresses all the human emotions, joy, thanks, sympathy, humour, love and admiration. It allows us to connect on an emotional level with the people who have touched our lives.
Make a Pop- Up Card - An outstanding sensory activity for the students of Grade I & II was organized by MBS International School on October 13, 2021.
By doing something creative, we allow for self-expression and this lets kids express (and cope with) their feelings. The students had already made beautiful cards but this time there was an added facet to the card. The activity involved making a Pop-Up Card. As the name suggests something pops up from inside the card when opened which gives it a 3-D effect.
It was an exciting individual activity for the children. The activity proved to be therapeutic as it channeled the energy of the kids in a constructive manner. Creative and beautiful cards with different colours were prepared by the students of each class. This activity enhanced dexterity, fine motor skills and helped to boost the self-confidence of the children. It aimed at teaching children about communication and expressing their feelings in an expressive way. The cards they made reflected the voice of their soul. It was wonderful to watch the zealous students giving expression to their thoughts. Each of the cards made by the children was a treat to the eyes.
With the guidance of the teachers the children came up with amazing finished piece of art. It developed a sense of accomplishment among the children.
OLD MC DONALD FARM
Farm animals are animals that are kept for agricultural purposes and who are useful for human being. They are domesticated and provide us milk, honey, wool and other things, used by humans. Farm Animals are a great topic of study for the Preprimary and Preschool students. MBS International School organized an activity on Old Macdonald's Farm on 27th-28th of October 2021 for Preschool & Pre-primary. It gave the young MBSians to experience how these animals are different in their looks, behaviour, eating habits, and the sound they make. Children created farm animals and their home and made animal faces using origami sheets in their sketch files. This activity was a medium to make children aware about farm animals, their homes and their importance in our life's. Children were taught not to harm animals, but to love and provide them care.

The minds of children are impressionable. They begin taking in information from quiet a young age and that is what makes it important that children are taught early on, with great care. And when teaching involves fun filled activities students tend to learn the most. An activity of ‘Water Kingdom’ for the little hands was organized by MBS International School on Monday, 18 October 2021.
The students of Pre-primary created their own “Water Kingdom”. They were asked to make different elements of the ocean using different coloured clay. The kids pounded, squeezed, rolled and blended clay to make amazing creations like fish, stones, water plants etc. Playing and crafting with clay being favourite activity of the kids, they learnt various techniques of moulding. With the guidance of the teachers the children came up with amazing finished piece of art. It developed a sense of accomplishment among the children.

On Tuesday, October 12,2021 MBS International School celebrated Dusshera with lot of religious zeal and fervor. The celebration marked the victory of Lord Rama over the evil King,Ravana and reinforced the message of the triumph of good over evil. The celebration began with a prayer and a message on Dusshera. This was followed by a presentation on why we celebrate Dusshera. The children dressed up as Ram ,Lakshman ,Sita and various other characters from Ramayana. The students of Preprimary made the stick puppet of Ravana. The day was filled with great joy and enthusiasm. Children learnt values of honesty, respect and obedience. Overall the celebration was appreciated and enjoyed by all.
The tiny tots of Preschool celebrated this festival on Wednesday October 13, 2021. The little ones were dressed up as characters of Ramayana and enacted the same.
They did sticker pasting activity in the Ravana and enjoyed a lot. They also understood the importance of celebrating Dussehra.
ORANGE COLOUR DAY
Colours are the smiles of the nature, so is the colour Orange.
Orange is a dynamic colour that stimulates imagination and creativity.
On 7th October, Orange Colour Day was celebrated at MBS International school with great zeal and zest. The children did cotton dabbing in jelly fish and sunset scene activities using the colour orange as a theme and learnt interesting facts about it.
Our little Mbsians were dressed in shades of vibrant orange colour, shining bright. The students were asked to bring orange coloured objects. They brought many objects like orange ball, orange, marigold, orange toys and many other orange coloured things. Students were given a thorough understanding of the colour orange through different activities, such as how to get this secondary colour by mixing two primary colours: red and yellow.
In order to emphasize the importance of Animals, MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka conducted Animal World day for the Pre-primary on Tuesday , October 5,2021 and Preschool students on Wednesday, October 6,2021. All the students spoke about their favourite animal with sounds and enjoyed watching jungle book movie. Our teachers also enjoyed the celebration. The students of pre-primary used pencil colour to complete the pattern of giraffe (Wild Animal). Students were engaged in colouring activities. Some students spoke about the giraffe.
The students of Preschool made the tiger by bangle, crayons, googly eyes. Students enjoyed the activity and some students spoke about tiger ( National Animal) .
The lively and cheerful kindergartners put up a great show.
Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti, the joyous occasion of the birthday of two great patriots 'Mahatma Gandhi' and 'Lal Bahadur Shastri' was celebrated in the Preprimary Department of the School. Since the occasion marks the birth of two national heroes, the class began with a talk about their inspiring lives and the sacrifices they have made for the freedom of the country. An inspirational song on Lal Bahadur Shastri ji was shown that urged the students to imbibe good values in life. Mahatma Gandhi’s principles were beautifully explained through PPT. It was a spiritual journey well appreciated by one and all. Teachers urged the students to learn the values and principles, which Gandhi ji and Shastri ji held dear in their life, like truth, non-violence, respect for all beings, self-discipline, unity, harmony, sharing and caring. The students got motivated to follow the footsteps of these great personalities in every walk of life. Children of Preprimary class made charkha and our Preschool children made Gandhiji’s spectacles, stick and footwear using clay.
AD MAD SHOW
“Creativity without strategy is called ‘Art.’ Creativity with strategy is called ‘Advertising.”
Advertisements use very few words, musical impact, taglines, etc. to sell an idea.
The Ad Mad Show competition is an opportunity to bring out individual talent of the students participating in it. The idea behind conducting this competition was to provide a platform to participants to explore their creativity and stage presence skills.
The AD Mad Show for Grade I and II was organised on 28th and 29th September, 2021. It was conducted in two rounds. First, the preliminary round was on 28th September where the students of each class showcased their talent by singing advertisement jingles. Students showed various products we use in our daily life like antiseptic lotion, toothpaste, shampoo, etc. besides showing ads with social messages like save water, donate blood, use mobiles discreetly etc. The students participated enthusiastically.
All the performances were above par, and the entire audience was stunned to see these little kids performing with such confidence and precision. The competition was an opportunity to bring out individual talent, explore their creativity and stage presence skills. Most of the students came up with unique ideas and well-written scripts of the advertisements. It was an excellent learning experience. Through this activity, the students got an opportunity to brush-up their speech delivery and understand the importance of Advertisement in spreading awareness to masses.
Best three were chosen from each class for the final round held on 29 September, 2021. The students faced the camera with confidence and presented themselves with passion.
Excitement level of the children reached sky high while preparing for the contest. It showcased their acting skills and confidence.
The combined efforts of students, parents and teachers was evident as the online interclass competition was a huge success.
EK KAHANI,KATHPUTLI KI JUBANI
‘Ek Kahani, Kathputli ki Jubani’ activity was conducted by MBS International School on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, for the students of Grade 1 and 2. The little storytellers learnt the art of narrating a story effectively. It encouraged the craftsmanship and originality of them and enabled the children to learn about puppet design and the technique of narrating a story using them. The students presented their immaculate work by making colorful puppets using interesting materials like colored paper, ice - cream sticks, cloth, etc. to create stick and hand puppets.
The children were excited to narrate stories and use puppets to portray different characters. The aim of this competition was to provide a platform to nurture the quality of public speaking and to be expressive.
The little storytellers learnt the art of narrating a story effectively using puppets. Overall, it was a joyful and great learning experience for the young MBSians and a visual treat for the students to watch their friends narrating story in such a spectacular way.

Cooking is at once child’s play and adult joy. And cooking done with care is an act of love. When done with children it is one of the best ways to make connections across and amongst many disciplines.
We at MBS International School continuously integrate activities that stimulate holistic learning. Keeping this in mind “Yummilicious -Sandwich making activity” was organized for the students of Grade I and II on September 7, 2021.
Cooking has always been an interesting arena for kids. From their play kitchen sets & toy utensils to playing role of Mummies and chefs.
This activity was conducted to make them learn something new, that kids could make by themselves. Students made yummy sandwiches using bread, colorful vegetables and their favorite sauces as they are definitely notorious picky eaters. Most importantly, it was a no flame, no bake recipe. They also made eyes and smiley using tomato sauce on the top of it to make it look more tempting.
We believe we are not just teaching them how to cook food but science in action and encouraging healthy food choices. Cooking is a passion for most kids and it was witnessed throughout the activity.
Indeed, cooking with kids is nothing short of awesome.
NATIONAL SPORTS DAY
“The more difficult the victory, the greater the happiness in winning.”
Sports and games are an integral part of our life and have become a way of life for a healthy and fit India. Sports play a pivotal role in the makeup of a young athlete.
National Sports Day is celebrated on 29th of August every year. It marks the birth anniversary of Hockey Legend Major Dhyan Chand Singh, who is regarded as the greatest Hockey player of all times.
To mark the significance of National Sports Day, MBS International School virtually organised several activities to inculcate the feeling of true sportsmanship among the children and to enhance their physical and social skills. Students of class Preschool and Preprimary virtually participated in various sports activities such as lemon and spoon, ball and pencil, fork and straw etc. with great enthusiasm and zeal. The little ones had fun while indulging in sports activities.
Sports and games offer children a change from the monotony of daily life. They are also a useful means of entertainment and exercise for them.
In the words of Louis Zamperini “That’s one thing you learn in sports. You don’t give up, you fight to the finish.”
MONTHS OF THE YEAR
Time is very important for us. We organize our daily life, social, cultural and economic activities according to calendar.
‘Months of the Year’ was one such activity which created the possibility for the little ones to understand the usage of numbers in different areas. The information about number of days in a month or a year was delivered in a simple manner which they can understand easily. Children were astonished to know that there are so many days and months which makes a year.
To make the activity more inclusive, children were involved in making calendar for the year. The whole experience made children understand the Months of the year in an effective manner.
MAGIC OF MAGIC WORDS
Magic words are simple words used while interacting with others that portray good manners and leaves everyone with a pleasant feeling, hence to inculcate good manners and to encourage students to use magic words, an activity- ‘Magic of Magic Words’ was organized by MBS International School on Tuesday, August 24,2021.
The story of ‘Magic Tree’ was narrated by the teacher. Children were encouraged to use the 5 magical words i.e Thank You, Please, Welcome, Sorry &Excuse Me.
Students of Preprimary made their own ‘Magic Words Tree’ whereas students of Preschool made ‘Garden of Magic Words’.
The MBS family celebrated Janmashtami with all passion and zealous on Saturday, August 28, 2021. Students of Preschool and Preprimary classes donned the roles of Lord Sri Krishna , Radha and Gopikas amongst many other characters related to Janmashtami. They won the soul of spectators by dressing in the attire of Krishna, Gopikas and other various characters and enacting their respective roles perfectly. The event also comprised of Group Dance on the life of Krishna. Shloak from the holy book – ‘Bhagwat Gita’ were also recited. The celebration aimed to make children aware about our country’s diverce tradition and culture. The message of ‘Victory of good over evil’ was the reminder and learning for all. The virtual celebration was indeed truly informative, enlightening and entertaining.

Raksha Bandhan marks the celebration of brother-sister love, care, share and protection. It is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions.
To celebrate the warmth and bond of togetherness that Raksha Bandhan signifies, a Rakhi Making Competition was organized for the students of Grade I and II on August 18, 2021. The activity aimed to nurture their expressiveness and to instill virtues of love and harmony.
Students made attractive Rakhis using different articles like silken thread, ribbon, ear buds, etc. The activity saw a number of innovative and colorful rakhis being made by students.
All the students took part keenly and prepared colorful Rakhis, by the dint of their skills because of which the competition was full of passion and spirit. Students showcased their talent by sending the virtual pictures of their beautiful and creative hand-made Rakhi using craft material and waste material. Their work was quite fascinating and children thoroughly enjoyed this activity that tickled their creative side.
The artistry of students left every onlooker astounded. The little kids got aware of the culture and traditions of this specific festival. They learnt how to turn a thread into a beautiful rakhi in a more enticing and attractive ways.
It was yet another fun filled activity which was appreciated and acknowledged by the teachers. The results were announced by the respective class teachers.
JUST A MINUTE
Public talking and good communication abilities are a piece of Personality Development. Perceiving this requirement for young MBSians, ‘Just A Minute’ activity for class I and II was organized by MBS International School on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. The activity was held on virtual platform. The aim of this activity was to equip young students with the skills of thinking clearly, speaking persuasively and listening to the opinions of others critically and constructively.
It was in reality an incredible delight to see students talk on topics given to them. Every one showed their best expert articulation. The activity brought out abilities including confidence building and oratory skills of students. Each student was given one minute to speak on any of the following topics-
• Something I love to do for fun
• How do I have fun in the rain?
• What is the best time of day for me?
• My favourite meal
• If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
• A family tradition
Over all it was an enjoyable and a learning experience for the students. The activity was held successfully with the active participation of enthusiastic toddlers. Such activities not only help in boosting the confidence level of students but also enrich their communication skills by providing students with an opportunity to express and exchange the views amongst themselves.

Festivals brings happiness and joy. Also, they bring opportunity for our young ones to learn about our culture and traditions. They offer us a valuable opportunity to cast a glance into various aspects of our culture. They are meant to rejoice special moments and emotions in our lives with our loved ones. Keeping this in mind, to enhance the creativity and imaginative skills of children, MBS International school organized ‘Pot Decoration Activity’ to celebrate the festival of Janmashtami for the students of Grade I and II on August 24, 2021.
The activity filled the students with the spirit of mirth, happiness and love. Students were excited to decorate their pots using different colours and sparkling material. Children created beautiful eye-catching pots and decorated them with inspiring and expressive combination of colours and patterns. This activity will surely boost their confidence, creativity and interest in arts. It was a visual treat to see the children giving wings to their imagination. Through these activities students learn to explore the extent of their imagination and express themselves without any fear.
The teachers applauded all the students for their efforts and presentation. The manner in which students have presented their work was praiseworthy. The teachers instilled the value of self-worth and introspection in the students as they wished them happy Janmashtami.

Parents are a child's first teacher who give them life lessons and after them comes the Guru or teacher who leads the child ahead in life.
A good teacher not only imparts knowledge to their students but they inspire, encourage and instill curiosity to find solutions to problems. To honor these remarkable people in our lives, Teachers' Day is celebrated as an important day worldwide.
In order to surrender love and reverence to their teachers on the occasion of Teacher's Day, and enhance the aesthetic sense of our tiny tots ‘Card making’ activity was organized by our school on September 1,2021 for the students of Grade I and II. Since pandemic has seized the Teachers’ Day celebrations, the students expressed their wishes and greetings online by making handmade greeting cards with beautiful messages inside.
It was an exciting individual activity for the children. Creative and beautiful cards with different patterns and colours were prepared by the students of each class. All the students were eloquent and imaginative in their ideas.
A blend of exceptional artistry and imagination was displayed by the students through their cards. It was indeed gladsome to see the smiles of the kids as well as teachers at the end of the activity.

An Intra Class English Rhyme Recitation Competition was organized for Pre-Primary wing of MBS International School. Recitation is one of the important and effective modes of learning a language and appreciating a piece of literature. Taking all these facts into consideration the children got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The competition inspired the children to come forward and recite their rhymes. The children came up with different poems, used different props and recited them with great zeal and enthusiasm. It was a platform that provided an opportunity for them to gain confidence through stage exposure. Everyone was amazed and spellbound after seeing their pleasing performances. Everyone was a winner in their own way as they recited their rhymes with best of their ability and great confidence. These learning opportunities will encourage them to participate more and build self-confidence.
FRUITS AND SEEDS

MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka organized ‘Fruits and Seeds’ activity for the Pre-Primary wing on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
To make children understand how a seed grows into a plant, teacher showed a presentation about the journey of the seed, from sowing to becoming a plant or tree which yield fruits. Children were given opportunities to explore different types of fruits which has one seed, many seeds or a seedless fruit. It was a happy & inquisitive learning process.
To make the whole learning process more inclusive, children made drawing of different fruits and pasted real seeds in those pictures drawn.

Independence Day is celebrated all over India with great patriotism and pride. MBS International School, Sector -11, Dwarka also takes keen interest in celebrating festivals of national interest in all its grandeur.
This year, city schools have ensured that the fervour of patriotism lives on, and shifted their Independence Day celebrations online. The students of the Pre-Primary wing celebrated this special day, on Thursday, August 12, 2021.with great zeal and fervour.
We saluted the flag and sang our National Anthem. Then the students sang patriotic song, danced and recited poems befitting the occasion about the significance of the day. At last, the teacher asked and advised children to love our motherland and fight against evil forces.
YELLOW COLOUR DAY
Every colour has its own importance. Colour can influence our emotions, our actions and how we respond to various people, things, and ideas. Like Red symbolizes vitality, White purity and green life, Yellow is for wisdom and intellectual energy.
To recapitulate and reinforce the effects of the colour yellow, and to introduced them to different ‘Shades of Yellow’ MBS International School celebrated “Shades of Yellow” on Thursday, August 5, 2021. The children and teachers were dressed in different hues and tints of yellow colour.
It was a beautiful sight to watch all the tiny tots twinning in yellow colour. They looked so happy and bright. The facilitators spoke about the importance of yellow day marking the winning aspects of the yellow colour such as optimism, enlightenment and happiness.
Each young MBSians had brought a yellow colour object. The sneak peak of these objects are cars, dolls, toys. Some of our parents were so connected to the colour day celebrations they had prepared the snack box by packing fruits, custard and etc.
The favourite hour of the day was when the children were participating in the show and tell activity. Everyone spoke about the yellow colour object that they have brought in were oozing happiness and joy. The facilitators were beaming with pride when the confident little commentators described the yellow objects with expressiveness, flair and ease. Throughout the day, yellow colour awareness was spread among the children and for complete understanding of the same children created different shades of yellow in their sketch files. This Colour brought in lot of Intellectual energy and positive vibes.
BEST OUT OF WASTE
Waste isn’t a waste until we waste it
Little hands and imaginative minds came together in a creative burst of energy during the activity “My Creation-Best out of waste”. The students of classes I and II participated in the activity held on July 20, 2021. The objective of the activity was to create love for environment by making best out of waste with help of recyclable things.
We at MBS International aim to make our students to understand the importance of preserving the environment and learn more about sustainability. We should not throw away waste things, we could use them again for different purposes and that we should not cause harm to nature. Students used their imagination and creativity to make a piggy bank using disposable paper glass. They made appealing and colourful piggy banks worth using.
The kids were motivated to reduce the waste to save our planet and reuse waste material in constructive manner. This activity not only helped students to enhance their creativity and presentation skills but also helped them to realize the importance of recycling and reusing waste material available to them. The motto- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle was once again reiterated through this activity. It was amazing to see how scrap could be transformed into such useful and beautiful article.

Children are a treasure of hidden talents and new ideas. This saying was proved rightly by a virtual activity organised by MBS International School for the students of Grade I and II on 17 August, 2021
Art and Craft helps in all-round development of children. It helps develop motor skills as it involves different movements like drawing, cutting, holding a paint brush to paint. It develops dexterity in kids. Through these activities students learn to explore the extent of their imagination and express themselves without any fear.
The teacher instructed the students to make a craft using old newspapers. The students participated enthusiastically and created beautiful crafts like pen stands, butterfly etc. It was so exhilarated to see how the little children converted the old newspapers into usable items. The enthusiasm was quite visible in their artistic work. This fun filled activity witnessed a zealous participation by all students.
They presented their work marvellously. The teacher applauded the students for their creativity.
The combined efforts of students, parents and teachers were evident as the online class activity was a huge success.
FANCY DRESS COMPETITION

Scholastic and co scholastic activities have an equal importance in school programme for the all- round development of the child. Keeping this in view, we at MBS International School, Dwarka conducted the Fancy Dress Competition for the children of Grade I and II. Fancy Dress is a great way to make the students aware of our Heroes who fought for our freedom. It is essential to teach the children the importance of Independence Day so that they do not consider it just another holiday.
It is also a great opportunity to teach children about the history and Independence struggle of India. The purpose of conducting the competition was not only to blend learning with fun but also to develop confidence in the students by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of the audience.
Children dressed up in their beautiful costumes spoke a few sentences on the character that they depicted. The effort and hard work of children was highly commendable. It was the most awaited event of the year, as it is always pleasure to watch the little ones dressed up as different characters. It was overwhelming to see them speaking confidently about the characters they were depicting. Each participant spoke few lines in English/Hindi to depict their role. Majority of the students had dressed up as famous leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Sarojini Naidu, Indira Gandhi etc. The participants put in their best efforts for the event and resembled the real leaders in their attire. All the students enthusiastically spoke the famous lines of their respective leader with great confidence and thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the event. Three winners from each class were selected and participated in the final round. Judges had a tough time in selecting the winners.
It was a feast to the eyes to watch the little ones performing with such enthusiasm and confidence, “Kudos to our little MBSians”.
WHAT IS IN MY BAG?
Children are big fan of – Surprises, it works on the dopamine system in our brains, inspiring focus and creativity. Integrating the element of surprise and learning, pre-primary children were involved in an activity –What is my bag? The cheers, the laughter, the astonishment made the whole teaching-learning experience wholesome and everlasting.

The greatest gift of life is friendship, and for children their friends means the world to them. They are special as they may not be part of the family but they become extension of family. The valuable bond between friends build from the innocence of childhood to the maturity of adulthood is a treasure of life. To celebrate the love and joys of being with our best friends the activity – BFF was celebrated in a unique and soulful manner. Children were shown the story of BFF Shri Krisha & Sudama to make them understand the meaning of true friendship. Building a beautiful, selfless bond was the essence of this celebration. This was culminated by making friendship bands by the pre-schoolers and a beautiful friendship day card by the pre-primary children.
In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures.
Children love learning and exploring new things and at MBS International School we ensure that children are provided the best possible opportunities to explore and learn new things. The young inquisitive minds of pre-primary were a part of an amazing journey where sailed through the tides of water and learned about the world of water transport. Children were very happy and amazed to see huge ship which can carry so many things, a small boat to a submarine which goes under the water, and many other things.
To culminate the process of learning, preschool children were involved in making paper boats and pre-primary children made a submarine using pet bottle. This souvenir created by the little hands will always be a part of their memory.
SHOW YOUR TALENT

The school provides experiences for students as we believe; experiences leave impressions for the future. The students can choose any one area based on their interest and talent and progress in it to become professionals. It not only helps the participating students to show their abilities but also motivates other students, to come up in front and show their hidden potential.
Young children have an ocean of hidden talent amongst them and it was displayed at MBS International School by the students of Grade III – V in ‘Show your Talent- Talent Hunt Activity' held on July 9, 2021. Students participated enthusiastically in this event and displayed their abilities magnificently.
The main motive of this activity was to nurture the intrinsic qualities of students and to remove the fear of stage, which helps in personality development.
The children dressed up in colourful costumes, were full of confidence and enthusiasm. They sang patriotic songs and enthralled the audience with their scintillating performances. Many students displayed their hidden talents by swaying to the beats of patriotic dance numbers and mesmerised the spectators. Our little stand -up comedians also left the viewers with humour and joyous spirit.
The event was of great admiration and worth appreciating.

Storytelling brings language learning alive and creates a participatory and immersive experience that allows Young Learners to enjoy hearing the language in a dynamic and sometimes in stylistic and entertaining way. Keeping this in mind, a virtual storytelling competition was conducted for Grade I and II on 6th & 7th July. Children narrated Panchatantra stories like ‘The Lion and the Mouse’, ‘The Thirsty Crow’, ‘The Dove and the Ant’, ‘Tortoise and the Geese’ etc.
The young vibrant storytellers came forth with wonderful tales. Some of them were dressed up as characters and presented their story with the use of facial expressions and voice modulation. While some stories provided food for thought, some reinforced moral values and some were humorous. The oratory and presentation skills of tiny tots were outstanding
The teachers applauded all the participants for their efforts and presentation. The manner in which students have presented their thoughts and views was praiseworthy.
SPLISH SPLASH FUN
Its summer – that time of the year when playing with water become a must do to activity. Hence, Preprimary children of MBS International school participated and enjoyed the activity of ‘Splish & Splash’ water fun. Water is an important natural material that provides hours of absorbing fun and a multitude of wonderful development and learning opportunities. Hence, our little bundle of energy were involved in creating a splashing water art using different colours. The fun and excitement made the whole experience memorable. Water play gives many opportunities to develop gross and fine motor skills and also let these free spirited kids enjoy their wonder years.
CLEAN DELHI - GREEN DELHI : SLOGAN WRITING

The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it. Each and every one of us can make changes in the way we live our lives and become a part of the solution.
Keeping this view in mind Green Delhi, Clean Delhi- Slogan Writing activity for Grade III-V was organised on July 5, 2021. The main objective of this activity was to spread awareness among the students about the significance of Cleanliness and its benefits. The students depicted their creativity through their posters and thoughtful slogans and created awareness on Green Delhi, Clean Delhi. Children participated earnestly and their efforts and initiative were appreciated by one and all.

What better way to get students excited about learning than to introduce a fun interactive activity of Riddles to the classroom. Riddles can help children form associations, link ideas and think, be creative and make conclusions; all of which are good ways of learning and remembering things quickly and with ease.
Keeping this in mind MBS International School organized “Riddle Time Activity” for the students of Grade I and II on June 29, 2021.The teacher prepared interesting riddles based on common animals and birds and children had to guess the correct answer.
Riddles can be thought-provoking or funny brain busters. It is like a puzzle that you are trying to solve. We believe that young minds need to be fostered with something that gives them an opportunity to think over. They are fun and also provide an opportunity to learn. It is necessary that the young minds get ample of opportunities to think and develop their minds.
Teachers asked the students to listen to the riddles carefully as the hints were hidden in the question itself. The students enthusiastically participated in the activity and were curious to learn more. Teachers applauded the students after their responses The level of enthusiasm and concentration among the participants was astounding

SNACK O FAST
We at MBS International School continuously integrate activities that stimulate holistic learning. Cooking has always been an interesting arena for kids. From their play kitchen sets & toy utensils to playing role of Mummies and chefs.
To develop the skill of non- flame dishes, a weekly activity ‘Snack-O-Fast Activity’ was organized in Grade I & II on June 23, 2021. The aim of the activity was to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and explore new areas of interest. It was conducted with a view to create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without fire. The students prepared healthy dish Stuffed Monaco Biscuit Sev Puri using easy and quick recipes. They served the dishes in an artistic and aesthetic way.
Cooking is a passion for most kids. A completely safe and quick way to make snacks. The event not only provided a platform for the students to foster their creativity and decision-making skills but also helped them explore their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest.
With the onset of Summer, it gets essential to refresh and replenish our body with some cool beverages to beat the heat. To introduce our young MBSians to lip – smacking drink and fruits popsicles and to add to the concept of ‘SUMMER SEASON’ MBS International School organized a ‘SUMMER FUN’ activity on Thursday, June 24, 2021. For the students of Preschool & Preprimary.
The teachers and students enjoyed this splendid activity over the online session with great zest.
Our little munchkins had a great time preparing the lemonade and popsicles by squeezing the lemon, sprinkling the sugar and salt and stirring the mixture with their tiny fingers.
One could sense the excitement around & their sparkling eyes were worth watching as the delicious lemonade tickled their taste buds on sipping it up.
The task added to the sensory learning of our little ones and reinforced their fine motor skills in a fascinating way.
It was a fun-based learning experience for our young MBSians which will be cherished by them forever with a smile.
HEALTH BHI TASTE BHI
“Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him.”
Senses are important because they allow us to perceive the world in which we live. Providing a stimulating environment to the little ones, will enhance the understanding and learning capabilities. Hence, with the activity of Health and Taste teachers of pre-primary focused on exploring the area of five senses integrating it with good health. They were involved in an activity of making their own health basket, which focused on their power of sight, smell, taste, listening and touch. It was an enjoyable learning experience for our tinytots.

Recycling can really make a difference to our natural environment. It prevents materials from being sent to landfill and in turn, helps to cut down on the energy when a new material is made. Keeping this in mind Paper Bag Making Activity for class I and II was organized by MBS International School on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. The activity was held on virtual platform. Pupils were educated about the importance of recycling waste things and they were inspired to think how they can contribute towards betterment of Mother Nature. The young minds showcased their creativity and made beautiful paper bags with informative slogans on it. The students were quite enthusiastic about the whole activity.
The objective of the drive was to indulge students in the habit of recycling by teaching them how to make paper bags and making them aware about the threat of plastic bags to the environment. They shared their thoughts on how they can contribute towards Saving Mother Nature by being an active individual. They all exhibited their hand-made bags and clicked some amazing pictures with their handmade paper bags.

A kitchen is a learning lab for children that can involve all of their senses. To sensitize these senses in our kids, MBS International School, Dwarka conducted “Flameless Cooking Activity” for the students of Grade- III to V on June 21, 2021. Where students donned their ‘Chef Caps’ to exhibit their culinary skills in an artistic and aesthetic style.
The activity was conducted with a view to create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without flame, the necessity and advantages of healthy eating and to encourage students to stay away from the junk food.
All the students were asked to prepare a dish of their choice, keeping in mind that it should be flameless. They presented healthy dishes like Fruit Chaat, Sandwich, Vegetable & Sprout Salad, Lemonade, Lassi, Shakes, Shahi Dates, Mango Custard Delight and many more using easy and quick recipes.
The event not only provided a platform for the students to foster their creativity and decision-making skills but also helped them explore their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest.
It was a real visual treat to see all delicacies presented so well.
A truly fun- filled cutlery adventure for our young budding chefs.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

In the past few years, yoga has become one of the most popular forms of exercise for the mind and the body. International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on June 21 since 2015, and the existence of this day can be credited to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the United Nations. His aim was celebrating and practicing Yoga must be globally recognized. June 21, 2021, will mark the seventh edition of International Day of Yoga, and the theme this year was, ‘Yoga for well-being’
With this aim in mind MBS International School, Dwarka organized a session on the June 21, 2021, for classes Nur to XII through a virtual platform. The yoga instructor, Ms. Ruchi Singh, took yoga session with great dedication. It was live streamed on You tube channel of the school and shown in each and every class by the class teacher. The students participated with full engrossment, enthusiasm and eagerness.
The session began by seeking the blessings of the Almighty by chanting the Gayatri Mantra. Asanas starting with warming up and stretching were followed by a series of Vrikshasana, Tadasana, Padahastasana, ArdhaChakrasana, Trikonasana, Bhujangasana etc. and ending with Shavasana. The benefits of the postures were narrated by the Yoga teacher side by side as children performed with the instructions e.g., the importance of meditation and pranayama, in day-to-day life to keeps one mentally, physically, psychologically healthy was highlighted. The session ended with a Shanti Path for peace and harmony. We all vowed to carry out the Yoga activities at our houses in future. It was a small endeavor to make the students aware to keep their body and mind fit. The session was indeed very refreshing, reviving and relaxing.
It is relevant for our times in a society that is still recovering from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The effect of the Covid-19 pandemic is not just physical, it also has a lasting impact on people’s mental health, with many left in psychological suffering, depression, and anxiety. Yoga can help people in dealing with such crises, boost immunity and help to fight any respiratory disorders. While it is an important source of exercise and healthy activity millions join in and practice on a daily basis.

While being a dad can be challenging, letting the father or father figure in your life know just how important he is, can make the job more than rewarding. MBS International School aimed to recognize the fathers that were present in the lives of their children irrespective of the challenges before them and their communities. By understanding the value of fatherhood to the home and community, the students of MBS International School embarked on a journey to create spaces and opportunities for fathers and families to develop healthy relationships. Father’s Day Celebration took place in the school via virtual means by asking students to honour their fathers, their heroes by sharing the pictures with the school, of the activities done to exhibit love and respect. The tiny tots of grade pre-school and pre-primary celebrated the day by watching a movie and video on the same and by making some beautiful craft activity with their amateur hands. The students of Grade I to V were engaged in multifarious activities which includes craft work, card making and posing with the fathers in the same dress. The high-spirited students of Grade VI-VIII celebrated Father’s Day by depicting their unending love and gratitude for their fathers by presenting them with cards, self-made gifts, trophies and badges. Students shared pictures presenting their gift to their fathers and the overjoyed feeling they bore while expressing their love was evident in the bright faces of the duo.
The dynamic duo celebrated the paternal bond and fatherhood with much enthusiasm and zeal. They acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the school authorities for this unique idea of involving Fathers in such celebrations. This concluded by parents expressing the school’s role in nurturing the relationships of fathers with their children and not letting the spirits of the children dampened in these unprecedented times.
RED COLOUR DAY
Can we imagine the world without colours? Not at all! Nature itself has many colours, which makes the world look beautiful. Colours are indeed the smiles of nature. With this objective the students of Preschool & Preprimary celebrated “Red Colour Day” on, Friday, June 17,2021.
The ‘Red Day’ celebration was a wonderful learning activity which helped children to understand the world of red colour. Red colour which signifies Love and Compassion, children were involved in exploring the world of red colour.
To mark this very special day, students and the teachers were dressed in red clothes. Students actively participated in an activity involving bottle printing & tearing and pasting. Preprimary children enjoyed learning about the shades of red, which was an expansion of the cognitive skills.
Language plays an important role in all round development of a student. Appropriate words with correct spelling convey right message. Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.
Keeping the same in mind Super Spellers activity was organised on June 18, 2021 for the students of grade III- V. The activity gave students a platform to learn spellings in different ways and provided them an interesting doorway to learn new vocabulary. The students participated with great enthusiasm and duelled through the toughest words. The activity helped students to improve their spellings, increase their vocabulary and develop the use of correct English. Children participated earnestly and their efforts and initiative were appreciated by one and all.

Singing and dancing to the wonderful song, leaving all the inhibitions aside the pre-primary children started their new session with pomp and excitement. In this digital world, the interaction is through screens hence, teachers were all set to bridge the gap of physical learning. They greeted their students with beautiful hand puppet, which was enjoyed by the class. The class was filled with giggles and laughter.
All interactions a teacher has with children can influence how they learn, grow and feel about themselves. Hence, this activity was specially curated in a manner where teacher-child interactions focused on building a foundation of trust, empathy, connectedness, and school readiness. Children created their first hand impression to mark the beginning of this special journey of learning and fun.
The students of classes Pre-primary & Preschool were in for a special treat with the puppet show. Puppets are engaging toys, which capture the attention of the little ones and open doors to their imagination. It surely provides the teacher an opportunity to be a part of child’s world. Therefore, the beginning of this online session with puppets & storytelling proved to be an ice breaking fun filled activity. Children not only had fun but they also connected well with their class teacher. Puppets changed the entire classroom by creating more possibilities for creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and curiosity. The session ended with a smile on every child’s face. Pre-schoolers enjoyed making their own finger puppet as a take away from this class. A happy and an enjoyable beginning indeed!!!
HOME SWEET HOME
“Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends.”
In learning about self, home plays an important part. Especially now as we all are spending most of our time at home, it is a familiar and comfortable territory for the little ones. They have their own favourite corner in the house. Learning about different terminologies around this theme was an interesting topic of discussion and a thought to ponder upon. The discussion brought excitement in the class, there was so much to share and learn. With the help of technology they all enjoyed a beautiful presentation of ‘Home sweet home’. Their creativity and hand – eye coordination were put to use when they all created origami houses as a small reminder of the theme. They were happy to share the pictures of their favourite area of the house.

Providing opportunities where our young inquisitive minds can explore different areas of the school was made into a possibility by the activity of Knowledge Park. The pre-primary MBSians explore all about their school through a virtual tour organised by their class teachers. Children were so happy and excited to visit their school and see what all awaits them. Virtually going through the main gate, crossing the colourful corridors, visiting their classrooms, play area, IT lab etc. brought a lot of excitement in the class. They all wanted to be there. To make this whole experience more inclusive they were involved in an Identification card making activity, which they wore during their online class with a big smile on their faces.
The Pre-primary children of MBS International School celebrated Baisakhi with great enthusiasm on Tuesday, April 13,2021. The celebration of this festival marked the beginning of festivities at our school. Everyone was looking beautiful in their colourful traditional attires. The beats of the dhol brought vibrancy to the environment. Children were explained the meaning of celebrating this harvest festival. They were also involved in making a craft of a dhol as a significance of the celebration. They were so engrossed in decorating their dhol and wore it around their neck with pride. The vibrancy and joy of the celebration was evident on the faces of our little ones.
TWIST AND TURN
We at MBS International School continuously integrate activities that stimulate holistic learning. Origami is one art form which helps this objective greatly.
The skill of Origami not only helps stimulate listening skills (following instructions carefully), it greatly strengthens the fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination etc. Transforming a piece of paper into a three-dimensional object is a unique exercise. It sharpens the attention and concentration ability of the children and lends manual agility.
All the sections of Grade 1 & 2 conducted origami activity on 20th April, 2021. Children participated in this creative venture with great zeal and high spirits.
Children were amazed to see transformation of a flat sheet square of paper into a finished sculpture of boat. Budding stars created unique and exclusive shapes and structures to showcase their finesse in paper craft. They made origami boat and displayed them with great pleasure and gratification. This activity triggered their imagination and enhanced their creative skills.
Origami provided our little ones with wonderful “schematic learning through repeatable actions”. As the teachers virtually demonstrated, children watched closely and listened carefully to the specific instructions and then carried them with originality, neatness and accuracy.
With the origami boat they created the Night Sea Scenery. They made the scene with the help of stars, cotton & white bindi.
The paper folding craft was not only a fun filled experience, but it also proved to be a valuable means to develop artistic skills in the young ones.
Life in the times of Corona virus means a halt on travel. However online technologies have removed the barriers of time, cost and location from the learning activities and experiences available to students. Virtual field trips allow learners to engage with and to learn about authentic artifacts and to explore places important to their discipline of study. The virtual field trip enables learners to visit and explore destinations with ease.
To eradicate boredom and enhance knowledge while comfortably sitting at home,
MBS International school, organised a virtual tour to The Agra Fort for the students of Grade -III to V on April 19, 2021.
The facilitator provided a guided tour and step-by-step information to students for better understanding of the fort. Students saw different halls designated for dinning, meetings, entertainment, offering prayer, imprisonment and many more. Students not only explored how our emperor used to live but also got familiar with different techniques used for protection of the fort. They also got to know how forts were kept cooler for long duration by simply using water between the walls and fullers earth soil. To spark student’s interest a quiz was conducted at the end of the session which students enjoyed thoroughly. Their responses to the virtual field trip were overwhelmingly positive.
Advertisements use very few words, musical impact, taglines etc. to sell an idea.
Ad Mad Show for Grade III-V was organised on 12 and 16 April, 2021. The competition was conducted in two rounds. First, the preliminary round was on12th April where the students of each class showcased their talent by singing advertisement jingles. Students showed various products we consume in our daily life like milk, face creams, biscuits, etc.
Best three were chosen from each class for the final round held on 16th April, 2021. The students faced the camera with confidence and presented themselves with passion.
The combined efforts of students, parents and teachers were evident as the online interclass competition was a huge success.
All creative work begins by doing something with the hands. Creation is simply a problem and design is the way out. Apropos to this a virtual Thumb Printing activity was organised by MBS International School for the students of Grade I and II on Baisakhi which marks the harvest of crops and farmers offer thanksgiving for a good harvest and prosperity. The motive behind the activity was to apprise the children of their culture and heritage of the country.
Thumb Printing Activity not only includes simply using colours and fingers and creating a piece of art but it also enhances the fine motor skills of the children. The child learns to use their senses, explore colours, explore process and outcomes, and create aesthetically pleasing works and experiences. This artsy endeavour aimed to add fun and excitement in the daily routine of the kids. Children drew a picture of Corn as tribute to farmers for a good harvest and coloured it using thumb printing. Teachers appreciated and acknowledged the work done by the students. To discover the undiscovered talents, Art and craft activities are regularly organized by our school. It is about encouraging, nurturing and showcasing every child's natural creative flair.

To bring out the creative expression of the students and also to gauge their awareness quotient, ‘Virtual Poster Making Activity’ was conducted by MBS International School for Grade III to V on Friday, April 9, 2021.
The objective of the competition was to ignite the fire of imagination and creativity in the students. The theme of the activity was ‘Health is Wealth’. The young learners displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters. The students participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm.
The event was to engross the hidden talent of the students. The students showed their abilities through art wherein they expressed and exhibited their feelings and their talent through their art work accompanied with relative captions and slogans.
All the students were quite enthusiastic about preparing posters with vivid ideas and vibrant colors. There was an air of excitement and enthusiasm as eager and committed artists toiled to create masterpieces. It was a splendid show of masterstrokes by our young and talented masters.
MARVELOUS ME! SELF INTRODUCTION
At MBS International school, we believe in expression of thoughts. To encourage this, school organised an activity “Marvelous Me! Self Introduction” for Grade I & II on 6 April, 2021.
Children expressed themselves on virtual platform and freely shared their thoughts. They shared several things about them like hobbies, favourite cartoon, favourite fruit, favourite colour, favourite vegetable etc. They used props accordingly. Some made a scrapbook to show their favourite things. Some used real life objects whereas some used cut outs of their favourite things. The activity brought everyone closer. Teacher also came to know about her students. It helped the introvert and shy students to take initiative and speak few lines on themselves.
The activity was a great learning experience for students as they got a platform to express their views and thoughts.
The teachers applauded all the participants for their efforts and presentation. The manner in which students have presented their thoughts and views was praiseworthy.
The students of classes Pre-primary & Preschool were in for a special treat with the puppet show which captured their attention and opened doors to their imagination. With the beginning of this new online session this storytelling session proved to be an ice breaker. Children not only had fun but they also connected well with their class teacher. Puppets changed the entire classroom by creating more possibilities for creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and curiosity. The session ended with a smile on every child’s face.
One of the core things we can all agree on is, that developing self-confidence in a child is very important. Building self-confidence in children allows them to be brave and reach out to try new things in life. In order to help children build a strong sense of identity, the activity of special me was conducted for all our special preschool and pre-primary children. Children were engaged in conversation which made them feel special. They were involved in crown making activity, during the creative expression time and wore it like prince & princesses throughout the day. With different activities conducted at MBS International School, children are discovering more about themselves & their world. This activity was a stepping stone towards making all our children positive and confident about themselves.
BREAKING THE ICE NAME : AEROBICS
“Your energy introduces you before you even speak”.
A good self-introduction for a student is an essential element. It creates an everlasting impression. Knowing how to introduce ourselves helps “break the ice” when meeting new people in any place or situation.
To build confidence and enhances one's ability to meet new people “Breaking the Ice Name Aerobics Activity” was conducted for the students of Grade III to & V on Monday April 5, 2021.
The main objective of this activity was to help our students to become more familiar with each other and present themselves confidently. This activity really proved as the best medium of presenting oneself, especially for those who feel shy or hesitate in front of others.
All the students introduced themselves in a fun and energetic way with a touch of aerobics. Students were filled with energy and passion. Their enthusiasm was quite visible in their presentation.
