Tricolor Craft
“The flag represents all the values that bind us together as one nation."- Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
The Tricolour Craft Activity was successfully organised on Wednesday, 12th August 2026, in the school premises of MBS International School to celebrate the spirit of India's 80th Independence Day. The activity aimed to instil patriotism, creativity, and respect for the national flag among students through hands-on learning.
The programme commenced with a brief introduction highlighting the significance of the Indian National Flag and the values represented by its three colours and the Ashoka Chakra. Students were then guided through the craft-making process using eco-friendly materials such as coloured paper, chart sheets, ice-cream sticks, ribbons, and recyclable decorative items. Teachers demonstrated the steps before students independently created their tricolour-themed crafts.
Throughout the activity, students enthusiastically designed flags, badges, bookmarks, windmills, wall hangings, and other decorative items inspired by the tricolour. They displayed excellent creativity while ensuring that the dignity and proper representation of the National Flag were maintained.
Teachers encouraged teamwork, originality, and responsible use of materials during the activity. Students proudly shared the ideas behind their creations and reflected on the importance of freedom, unity, and national responsibility.
The activity concluded with teachers appreciating the students' creativity, participation, and respect for national symbols. Overall, the Tricolour Craft Activity was conducted successfully and effectively achieved its objective of combining artistic expression with patriotic values while making the Independence Day celebrations meaningful and memorable for all participants.
