The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain.— Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

MBS International School organised an engaging Inter-Class Monsoon Collage Activity for Grade II. The young learners enthusiastically created colourful collages using pictures of rain, clouds, umbrellas, and puddles. With bright origami sheets and creative cut-outs, they beautifully captured the joy and beauty of the monsoon season. The classrooms came alive with vibrant artwork as students expressed their imagination and artistic skills. Teachers encouraged discussions about the rainy season, its importance, and the beauty of nature, making the activity both creative and informative. The activity enhanced fine motor skills, creativity, observation, and teamwork while fostering an appreciation for the wonders of nature. It was a joyful learning experience that filled the classrooms with colours, smiles, and the spirit of the monsoon.

To foster a love for reading and strengthen students' oral communication skills, the school organised READ-A-THON – Passage Pursuit for students of Classes III- V on Wednesday, 5 August 2026.

The primary objective of the competition was to develop reading fluency, correct pronunciation, articulation, expressive reading, and confidence in public speaking. It also aimed to help students understand the importance of appropriate pace, voice modulation, pauses, and intonation while reading aloud.

During the competition, every student was given an opportunity to read a carefully selected age-appropriate passage. Students were encouraged to read with clarity, confidence, and expression while maintaining proper pronunciation and effective voice modulation to convey the meaning of the text.

The classrooms resonated with enthusiastic participation as students showcased their reading abilities with sincerity and confidence. The activity provided an inclusive platform for every learner to demonstrate progress in oral reading and helped them overcome stage hesitation in a supportive environment. It also encouraged attentive listening, healthy competition, and appreciation for effective reading skills among peers.
