 I-Card Making

To reinforce the concept of All about Me, I-Card Making activity was organised for the Preprimary Wing of MBS International School, Dwarka on Friday, 19 April 2024.

The primary objective of the activity was to introduce young learners to a fun and creative way of understanding the importance of personal identification. The students decorated their I-Cards using different art supplies and had a great time writing their details on them.

They were thrilled to wear their handmade I-cards, and this activity proved to be an effective way of mixing learning and creativity, making an indelible impression on the young MBSians.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EARTH DAY - Best Out Of Waste

On 16 April 2024, the students of Class I at MBS International School commemorated Earth Day by conducting a ‘Best Out Of Waste Activity,’ championing recycling and creativity as they fashioned inventive pen stands from repurposed materials such as CDs, bangles and ice cream sticks. Guided by teachers, they transformed waste into art, fostering environmental awareness and resourcefulness. Through this hands-on experience, students learned valuable lessons in sustainability and stewardship, echoing Gandhi ji’s wisdom to cherish and protect the planet.

On Monday, 15 April 2024, MBS International School immersed itself in a vibrant celebration of ‘Red Colour Day’, embracing the essence of passion and vitality.The students from Nursery and Kindergarten embarked on a colourful journey of creativity and expression with joy and laughter. In the Nursery, young minds delved into the world of tearing and pasting, meticulously crafting apples out of crimson paper, while in the Kindergarten, the air was filled with excitement as children indulged in balloon printing to create enchanting flowers, a testament to their imagination and enthusiasm.

It was truly a memorable and fun-filled day for all the students that sparkled their curiosity and left them with cherished memories of the Red colour day.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Move and Mingle

On Monday, 08 April 2024, MBS International School organised an activity called ‘Move and Mingle’ for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten. It was a fun-filled day where the children got the opportunity to interact and socialise with their peers while indulging in some physical activities. The activity was a perfect blend of joyful experiences where the Nursery students introduced themselves and interacted with each other, while Kindergarten students were encouraged to make a card for their new friends. The enthusiasm and eagerness displayed by the children during the activity were remarkable and provided young learners with not only a day of enjoyment but also valuable social interaction.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Commencement of New Session

With great anticipation and enthusiasm, the new session at MBS International School commenced on 3 April 2024 for the students of Class I and II, embarking on a journey of learning, growth, and exploration. A variety of engaging activities and learning experiences were planned for the students on the first day which included some outdoor activities, art work, group work, storytelling sessions and some educational games and puzzles. This offered numerous benefits for students such as enhanced engagement and strengthened teacher-student relationship.

On Monday, 01 April 2024, MBS International School organised ‘Acclimatization Day’ for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten. The goal of the day was to help them adapt to their new academic environment and to foster a sense of belonging for the school.

The day started off with a family photo shoot and many educational and fun filled activities to build teamwork, develop social skills and boost their confidence. Overall, the Acclimatization Day was a success as the students seemed happy and excited to start their new journey at MBS International School.                  No Bag Day

On 15 March 2024, MBS International School observed ‘No Bag Day’ for the students of class I and II to mark the end of the academic year with enthusiasm and creativity. Throughout the day, the students participated in various engaging activities like self expression, artistic expression, nature walk, puppet show, group discussions, outdoor and indoor games. It served as a reminder of the importance of balance between academic rigour and creative exploration in the educational journey.
Students enjoyed the break from regular classes while still engaging in valuable learning experiences. It was a suitable and memorable way to end the school year, highlighting the value of holistic development and recognizing the skills and accomplishments of the students.

                   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Puppet Show

         On 12 March 2024 Tuesday, MBS International School organised a captivating puppet show for class I students, aiming to enhance their learning experience through                   interactive entertainment. Held in the school auditorium, the event was a culmination of creative efforts to engage young minds and foster imagination.

 The narrative of the puppet show was carefully constructed to engage the students and conveyed important lessons about the importance of reducing plastic waste in a fun and engaging manner, inspiring students to take action to protect the environment. The stories unfolded through lively dialogue and captivating scenes, leaving a lasting impression on the young audience.

Beyond its entertainment value, the puppet show provided numerous educational benefits for the students. Through its imaginative storytelling, colourful characters, and interactive elements, the puppet show provided a memorable and enriching experience that has left a lasting impact on young minds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

VIBGYOR

On Tuesday, 05 March 2024, MBS International School conducted ‘VIBGYOR’ activity for the students of Nursery and Kindergartens. The students were apprised with the significance of different colours in Rainbow and what each letter of VIBGYOR stands for. Various engaging activities were planned where Nursery students did fingerprinting on the rainbow worksheet and Kindergarten students drew and coloured their own rainbows independently.
This engagement served to develop fine motor skills and fostered colour recognition among the young learners of MBS International School.

                                                                             

 

 

                                                             Open the Knot

On 27 February 2024, MBS International School conducted ‘Open the Knot’ activity for the students of Class I. The activity involved untying knots in ropes, serving as both a fun exercise and a practical life skill development opportunity. Ropes of various colours and textures were provided and students were given the opportunity to independently untie knots, with teachers offering guidance and assistance as needed.

The activity yielded several benefits, including the development of fine motor skills, cognitive development through problem-solving, fostering independence and confidence. Overall, the ‘Open the Knot’ activity proved to be an engaging and beneficial experience for Class 1 students, providing them with valuable skills for their future endeavours.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bharat Darshan Park Class I -II

On Wednesday, 21 February 2024, MBS International School Dwarka organised an educational excursion for the students of Class I and II to Bharat Darshan Park.The students had a great time viewing the replicas of popular Indian monuments and learned how we can recycle waste material and garbage to create beautiful things and help in conserving our environment. The replicas of the monuments not only satiated the curiosity of the young learners, but they also assisted in developing their observation skills. It was a memorable day full of excitement and packed with priceless memories of Bharat Darshan Park.

 

 

 

 

 

     

Storytelling Activity

Storytelling brings language learning alive and creates a participatory and immersive experience that allows young learners to enjoy hearing the language in a dynamic and sometimes in stylistic and entertaining way.To keep the tradition going on and to incite curiosity and love for reading in children, MBS International school organised  a `Storytelling’ activity week from 19 February 2024 to 21 February 2024 for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten.The young vibrant storytellers came forth with wonderful tales like The Thirsty Crow, Fox and the grapes, The Blue Jackal, etc. The students were dressed up as characters and presented their story with the use of facial expressions and voice modulation while some stories provided food for thought and some reinforced moral values. The oratory and presentation skills of tiny tots were outstanding. Overall, it was a great learning experience which was thoroughly enjoyed by the young learners.

                                                                                        

 

Bharat Darshan Park Class III - V

An educational excursion to Bharat Darshan Park, Punjabi Bagh, was organised for the students of Classes III-V to make them learn about India’s rich cultural past, on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.They were accompanied by their facilitators to take a tour and learn about the historical monuments of our country.

The students enjoyed looking at the replicas of 21 monuments like the Qutub Minar, the Taj Mahal, Char Minar, Gateway of India, Konark Temple, Mysore Palace, Meenakshi Temple, Hampi, Victoria Memorial, Sanchi Stupa, Gol Gumbaz, Ajanta and Ellora Caves, Hawa Mahal, Khajuraho Temple, Nalanda University, Tawang Gate, Rameswaram, Dwarkadhish, Jagannath Puri, Badrinath, and a banyan tree.

They were amazed to know how brilliantly the scraps or waste materials were used to make the replicas. It is a perfect example of ‘Kachre Se Kanchan’ as quoted by Mr. Amit Shah, Union Home Minister, during the inauguration ceremony on 25 December 2021.

350 tonnes of waste material which included electric poles, old cars, spare parts of trucks, pipes and other scraps were used to construct the replicas of the monuments. It was a good learning experience for the students who were awestruck on seeing so many famous monuments under one roof.

The visit ended up successfully achieving its goal of providing the students with knowledge in a fun style that will retain their minds for a long time.

             

 

 

 

 

Basant Panchami Celebration

Dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, Basant Panchami marks the arrival of the Spring season in India. Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge, music, learning and arts. It is believed that without her blessings, the world would be shrouded in ignorance, as she represents enlightenment. To invoke her blessings on the auspicious occasion, Basant Panchami celebration was held in MBS International School, Dwarka for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten on Wednesday, 14 February 2024. The students and teachers were dressed in yellow coloured attires. The celebration commenced with Saraswati puja followed by  Saraswati Vandana with much fervour and enthusiasm. Thereafter, children were apprised regarding the significance of celebrating the festival.

 

 

 

           

 

 

Excursion (Rail Museum)

On 13 February 2024, MBS International School Dwarka organised an exhilarating excursion for the Nursery and Kindergarten students  to the Rail Museum. The day was brimming with excitement as children embarked on a journey of discovery through the world of trains and railways.

The highlight of the trip was the thrilling ride on a train, which filled the children with delight and wonder. Laughter echoed through the air as they explored the museum, learning about the history and mechanics of trains through interactive exhibits and engaging activities.

It was truly a memorable and fun-filled day for all the students that sparkled their curiosity and left them with cherished memories of theRail Museum.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Head to head balloon race

Playing outdoor games is important in order to foster sociability, teamwork, and the development of gross motor skills. MBS International School organised a ‘Head to Head Balloon Race’ for the students of class I.

This race, which is classic yet always a crowd favourite, had onlookers in stitches as the students occupied themselves with balancing their balloons and snuck into each other's paths.

Children cheered and applauded their pals with a fervor like that of athletes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Magic Show

 Magic is something that is liked by all age groups especially by the little kids.  To provide them some relaxing and refreshing moments away from the regular classroom teaching, a Magic Show was organised for the students of class Nursery to II on 12 February 2024 at MBS International School. Tiny tots were amazed to see the Magician donning a black hat with a magic wand. The show featured a wide range of tricks and illusions that were both captivating and mind-bending. The magician used natural and known objects to make the tricks real and interesting and involved the children while performing them. The sound of applause filled the hall when the show finally came to an end. The children dispersed with wondering eyes and happy grins on their faces. The magician’s skill and charisma, along with the active participation of the  students made this event a truly memorable experience.

On Thursday, 8 February 2024, MBS International School organised an exciting crossword puzzle activity for the students of Class II. The theme of the activity was centered around ‘Types of Houses,’ aiming to educate students about various dwellings while making the learning process enjoyable. The activity was designed to enhance their vocabulary and critical thinking

It was a delightful and educational experience for the students. This activity successfully achieved its objectives, leaving a positive impact on the students' understanding of different types of dwellings and the significance of home

 

 

 

 

 

 


Fun with crosswords

On Tuesday, 06 February 2024, MBS International School conducted a ‘Fun with Crosswords' activity for class I students where they enthusiastically  explored  the clues to find answers. It not only encouraged logical thinking but also helped with vocabulary growth and pattern recognition. Improved inference led to improved language and communication abilities. The activity succeeded in capturing students’ interest by keeping them actively engaged in the learning process.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Black and White Colour Day

On Monday, 5 February 2024, MBS International School celebrated 'Black and White Colour Day.' The Nursery students indulged in an engaging and enjoyable fork printing activity and made panda faces. Simultaneously, our Kindergarteners discovered the joy of creativity, with paper, glue, and a sprinkle of imagination. They brought adorable panda faces to life, fostering both artistic expression and fine motor skills in the process

Through a combination of engaging activities and decorations, the event provided a holistic and enjoyable experience that left a lasting impression on the children’s early education journey.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bottle Cap Printing

On 01 February 2024, MBS International School conducted a 'Bottle Cap Printing' activity for the students of class II to foster creativity, fine motor skills, and basic printing techniques. Using bottle caps as stamps, students dipped them in paint and created vibrant patterns on paper. This hands-on and enjoyable activity encouraged artistic expression in a simple yet creative manner. The resulting artworks displayed a diverse array of patterns, showcasing the students' ingenuity and enthusiasm for this unique painting technique.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Feathered Friends

 On Monday, 29 January 2024, MBS International School conducted ‘Our Feathered Friends’ activity for Pre primary classes, where the Nursery students crafted bird nests using broom bristles and  Kindergarten students made a bird with origami sheet. This hands-on activity enhanced dexterity, fine motor skills and helped to boost the self- confidence of little MBSians.

"On Tuesday, 30 January 2024, MBS International School conducted ‘Best Out of Waste’ activity for the students of class I and II where they were given the opportunity to unleash their creativity. The class I students experimented with arranging the bangles to craft personalised pen stands whereas the class II students made wonderful paper bags. The activity aimed to showcase the resourcefulness of participants in repurposing commonly overlooked materials.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

Paint your Imagination

The vibrant event, Paint Your Imagination, held on January 24, 2024, stirred the creative spirits of students with the theme "My Country, My Pride." This inter-class activity served as a platform for the students of Classes I to V to express their patriotic sentiments through colourful drawings. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as young minds translated their thoughts into captivating artwork. From diverse perspectives emerged a tapestry of images symbolising unity, diversity, and the essence of India. This unique initiative not only fostered creativity but also instilled a profound sense of patriotism, as students proudly showcased their imaginative expressions, reinforcing the belief that our country is truly their pride. 

                   

 

 

       

Paint your Imagination

A Competition - Paint Your Imagination was organized at MBS International School, Dwarka, on 24, January 2024. The students of classes VI, VIII and IX enthusiastically participated in the competition as they got the opportunity to exhibit their talent and thinking. The students enjoyed to express their thoughts, imagination and creativity through art work.

In observance of Republic Day, MBS International School conducted the ‘Tricolour Sandwich’ making activity, for the students of Class I on Tuesday, 23 January 2024. The primary objective
was to foster culinary skills among the young MBSians while integrating the vibrant hues of the Indian tricolour into their culinary creations. To facilitate an organised and seamless execution,
students brought pre-cut vegetables, and bread for crafting the tricolour sandwiches.
The activity not only showcased the student's culinary talents but also instilled a profound sense of national pride, as they skillfully incorporated the three colours of the Indian flag into their
sandwich presentation.

We all feel proud to be an Indian, and it is equally important that such feelings are infused in the future generation too. In order to instill patriotism and love for the nation among students, MBS International School conducted ‘Incredible India’ activity for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten on Thursday, 25 January 2024.

The little munchkins were dressed in Tri-colour clothes and recited rhymes and slogans related to Republic day. They also created a Tri-colour collage featuring National Symbols.

The facilitators shared historical facts, the Constitution's importance and the role it plays in forming the foundation of a democracy. The event concluded with the rendition of the National Anthem. The students were inspired and learned valuable lessons about the spirit of freedom.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Brown Colour Day/Shades of Brown Colour

On Tuesday, 23 January 2024, MBS International School celebrated 'Brown Colour Day.' The Nursery students indulged in an engaging and enjoyable activity, creating owls with pencil sharpening waste. Simultaneously, the Kindergarten students were immersed in colouring brown coloured objects worksheets, using their favourite crayons to bring the pages to life.

The classrooms echoed with the sounds of merriment, laughter, and joy as the students enthusiastically participated in these creative endeavours.

This celebration not only added a vibrant touch to the school environment but also contributed to the holistic development and enjoyment of the young learners

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ad Mad Show

On Thursday, 18 January 2024 MBS International School organised an ‘Ad Mad Show’ activity specifically tailored for the students of class II. The primary objective was to offer them a platform for the exploration of their creativity and enhancement of their stage presence. Each student demonstrated ingenuity by creating innovative advertisements, utilising relevant props and logos to reinforce their promotional messages. This showcased their ability to think creatively and work diligently, effectively transforming their classrooms into miniature advertising agencies.

The Ad Mad Show proved to be a remarkable activity, characterised by a delightful atmosphere filled with laughter and excitement.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kathputli Tantra

On Wednesday, 17 January 2024, MBS International School conducted a culturally enriched 'Kathputli Tantra' activity. The primary objective was to impart knowledge to class III students on the significance of preserving and commemorating traditional art forms. Engaging in interactive Hindi storytelling sessions, students enthusiastically utilized puppets as a means of expression.

This meticulously organised initiative not only served as a source of entertainment but also as an educational platform, fostering a deeper understanding of cultural heritage. By actively participating in this activity, students afforded a distinctive amalgamation of enjoyment, knowledge acquisition and cultural enrichment, thereby contributing to a holistic educational experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

English Poem Recitation (Theme-Patriotism)

To spread the fragrance of poetry amongst  students, MBS International School conducted an enjoyable English Poem Recitation Activity for Class I on Tuesday, 16 January 2024.The students came up with different poems on the theme ‘Patriotism’ and recited them with great fondness and zeal for the country. The primary objective of this activity was to enhance language skills, promote confidence, and nurture a love for country among the learners from a young age. Their poems reflected the Indian freedom struggle and the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. They enjoyed the perfection of expression, thoughts, emotions, rhythm, and music of words.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Harvest Festival of India

On Monday, 15 January 2024, MBS International School conducted 'Harvest Festival of India' activity for Nursery and Kindergarten students. Immersed in creativity, the children crafted vibrant kites that fostered teamwork and fine motor skills. Their laughter and excitement filled the classrooms with joy. The culmination showcased the students proudly presenting their handcrafted kites, setting the stage for a memorable celebration of India's harvest traditions.  Lohri Celebration

On January 12, 2024, MBS International School joyously celebrated virtual Lohri, for the students of Nursery to II who actively participated in the festive spirit with great zeal and enthusiasm. A thoughtfully designed PowerPoint presentation was presented, effectively capturing the essence of Lohri and bringing the warmth and traditions of the festival to life. Adorned in a vibrant array of traditional clothing, students enthusiastically participated in various craft activities such as paper crushing, pencil print corn making and bonfire craft. The colourful crafts centred around the Lohri theme not only showcased their creativity but also embodied the festive spirit.

The event was characterized by lively festivities, featuring engaging fun games that added a spirited touch to the virtual gathering. Popcorns, groundnuts, gajak, and revari further contributed to the festive atmosphere. The enchanting ambiance was enhanced by melodious vocals, including renditions of "Sunder Munderiye" and lively folk dance videos. Through compelling visuals and insightful explanations, students gained a heightened understanding of the historical and cultural importance of Lohri, fostering a sense of unity and mutual understanding among them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Snowy Hail

On Tuesday, 09 January 2024, MBS International School conducted an online Snowy Hail activity for the students of Class Nursery & Kindergarten. They were engaged in the artistic endeavour of embellishing caps using decorative materials such as cotton balls, glitter, and colourful papers, resulting in the formation of distinctive designs. The classrooms resonated with an atmosphere of creativity and mirth as the young MBSians exhibited their adorned caps to one another.

The day was brimming with joy, artistic expression, delight, and proved to be an enriching experience for all the participants.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Clay Moulding - Class I

On Tuesday, 09 January 2024, MBS International School conducted a virtual ‘Clay Moulding’ activity, where the enthusiastic students from class I delved into shaping vibrant fruits and vegetables using clay. Their artistic prowess shone through as they expertly crafted apples, oranges, carrots, and an assortment of other fruits and vegetables. This activity showcased a fusion of imagination and skill as the students transformed simple clay into intricate representations of nature's bounty.

Overall, this virtual activity fostered creativity and also encouraged the exploration of hidden talents, enriching the educational experience of the young learners.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Clay Moulding Activity -  Class II

MBS International School conducted ‘Boost your Health ' activity for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten on 26 December 2023. Students of Nursery did ‘Healthy Veggies colouring activity’ and on the other hand, students of Kindergarten did ‘Yoga’, in which they were taught about simple ‘Asanas’.

By combining these two activities with captivating narratives, the school effectively created an engaging and educational experience for its Nursery and Kindergarten students.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Blooming Buds

To reinforce the concept of beautiful flowers, an activity ‘Blooming Buds’ was organised for the blossoming buds of the Nursery and Kindergarten on Tuesday, 19 December 2023 at MBS International School.  

The motive behind the activity was to expose them to the world of flowers. Teachers and children had an interactive session which was not only refreshing but also helped the children to distinguish between different flowers, their textures, colours, different parts and uses. Nursery students made beautiful origami flowers and Kindergarten students made different types of flowers with clay. Story Narration Activity

Stories give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our physical world and into the land of fairies, dragons and wishing trees. Keeping this in mind MBS International School conducted Story Narration Activity on 28 December 2023. To reinforce moral values class II students narrated various kinds of stories with the help of props. The effort and hard work of the children were highly commendable. The activity proved to be a good learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mono Acting - One Man Show

It is rightly said that Mono Acting is a vehicle for artistic exploration which nurtures the power of self-expression. Thus, to help the students stimulate their power of imagination and foster creativity and communication skills, Mono Acting- One Man Show’ was organised by MBS International School on 20 December 2023 for the students of Class IV and V.

Students got an opportunity to showcase their acting skills and at the same time learn while having fun. Students presented a small act of about 2 minutes wherein they were able to put across their thoughts in an effective manner. The theme for the same was given on the spot.

 Students performed with great conviction and tried their best to make their act interesting. They participated with great zeal and displayed their acting caliber through an array of mono acts. They were assessed on the parameters like originality of the idea, creative thinking, confidence level, voice modulation and content presented.

This activity proved to be a great success. The students were not only able to explore their creative potential but also had a joyful learning experience.

On Tuesday, 26 December 2023, MBS International School conducted a captivating ‘Story Narration’ activity for the students of Class I. Students were given a dynamic platform to showcase their storytelling skills by intertwining crucial values into their stories. The activity provided a unique opportunity for students to develop their imaginative skills and to gain confidence through stage exposure.

The Christmas season is a time for joy, creativity, and bringing people together. In the spirit of fostering community and celebrating the festive season MBS International School conducted a ‘Christmas craft ’ activity on Tuesday, 19 December 2023. It is the festival that inspires the spirit of sharing and caring. Students of class I engaged in an activity, using cotton balls and assorted cutouts to craft charming ‘Santa cards’. With enthusiasm and creativity, the children embraced the hands-on experience and fostered a joyous spirit of celebration within the classroom and the unique touch of each student made it heartwarming.

Plants are beneficial to us in a variety of ways and to maintain a balance in the ecosystem is our prime responsibility.We, at MBS believe in providing education in all aspects of the enviornment. Hence,MBS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL had organised ‘PLANT LIFE ACTIVITY’ on 18 December 2023 for the student of Nursery and KG. Our little munchkins of Nursery  planted  the seeds into the small pot, where as KG students placed and pasted  the parts of the plants in the sheets given to them. This activity enhanced visual and auditory learning while providing them with an engaging and interactive learning experience

हिंदी हमारी मातृभाषा है और हमारा कर्तव्य बनता है कि हम इसे अच्छी तरह से बोलना जाने । वाचन कौशल को निखारने के लिए, बच्चो का आत्मविश्वास तथा मातृभाषा के प्रति रूचि को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से एम.बी.एस. इंटरनेशनल स्कूल ने 12 और 14 दिसंबर 2023 को कक्षा I और II के छात्र छात्राओं के लिए हिंदी कविता वाचन की प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया । इस अवसर पर बच्चो ने उत्साहपूर्वक कई विषयों पर अपने विचारों को कविता के रूप में प्रस्तुत किया । बच्चो को उनके उच्चारण, हावभाव, कविता का विषय, आवाज़ का उतार – चड़ाव पर परखा गया । सभी बच्चे कविता वाचन प्रतियोगिता के लिए उत्साहित दिखाई दिए एवं सभी ने इन में बढ़ – चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया । इस गतिवधि से छात्रों को भाषा कौशल, सुनन की क्षमता, और साहित्यिक रूचि में सुधार करने का एक सुनहरा अवसर प्रदान हुआ ।

 

 

 

 

Shades of Pink Colour

 MBS International School celebrated Pink Colour Day on Monday, 11 December 2023 with enthusiasm and vibrancy for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten.

This delightful event aimed to introduce young learners to the world of colours and enhance their cognitive development through engaging activities centred around the pink colour.

Students embraced the spirit of the day by donning various shades of pink. The attire contributed to a lively and cohesive atmosphere, fostering a sense of unity among the little ones.

A diverse range of activities was organised to make learning about the colour pink both educational and entertaining. Children from Nursery made a flamingo using handprints and Kindergarten students showed their artistry in making origami tulip flowers.

The day concluded with smiles, laughter, and a deeper appreciation for the colour pink in the hearts of our youngest Mbsians.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Karaoke Juction

On Thursday, 07 December 2023, MBS International School conducted ‘Karaoke Junction’ activity for the students of Class II with the aim to celebrate the spirit of Christmas season and to encourage students. The supportive atmosphere allowed even the shyest participants to shine and share their love for music which directly promoted festive cheer.

The event garnered enthusiastic participation from the students, resulting in a delightful experience for the audience.

 

 

 

 

 

Rhyme Recitation

The Rhyme Recitation by our vibrant class Nursery Lotus on 04 December 2023, Monday was a delightful showcase of youthful exuberance and creativity. From "Cobbler Cobbler , to "Rabbit Rabbit 1 2 3" each rhyme unfolded like a colourful story, told by the innocent voices of our youngest performers.

These moments of shared laughter, rhythmic clapping, and the pure joy of expression showcased the magic of early childhood education. The nursery rhyme recitation was not just an event, it was a celebration of innocence, creativity, and the boundless potential within each child.

 

 

 

 

 

Hoopla Game

MBS International School organised an enjoyable ‘Hoopla Game’ for the students of  Class I on 28 November 2023 and for Class II on 30 November 2023. Hoopla Game  is an excellent cardiovascular exercise that strengthens core muscles, improves balance and enhances overall flexibility. Children jumped inside hula hoop, lifted the one which was at their back and placed the same in the front and this way finished the race. All of them took part in this activity with enthusiasm and high spirit. It was not only a fun-filled experience but it also helped to enhance the hand-eye coordination, concentration and sharpened the fine motor abilities of the young ones.

Outdoor games play a major role not only in building good health but also in team building, companionship, and in developing gross motor skills. Keeping these Physical and Social developments of students in mind MBS International School organised ‘Lemon and Spoon Race’ for the students of Class II.

Traditional but all- time favourite, this race had the spectators in splits watching the children busy balancing their lemons on spoons as they interloped into each other’s tracks.

 Community helpers play a vital role in our society. Saying thank you to these wonderful individuals doesn't cost much. In order to cultivate the feeling of compassion and empathy among our little ones, MBS International School conducted ‘Our helpers Activity’ on 25 October 2023 where the students of Nursery and Kindergarten were dressed up in the roles of different community helpers such as nurse, policeman, doctor, soldier and teacher, etc. Children introduced themselves and explained the significance of helpers in our lives. Creativity is the spark that enjoys the flames of imagination, and this combination was a testament to the brilliance that shines within each of our student. MBS International School organised the ‘Shimmer and Sparkle- Jewellery Making’ Competition on 18 October 2023.

This brought a touch of creativity and artistic flair to our classrooms. This competition not only showcased the talents of our students but also provided a platform for enhancing their creativity. The students unleashed their creativity by designing a wide range of jewellery, including earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings, each reflecting their unique style and preferences.

Students were able to develop their artistic skills and express themselves through their jewellery designs. The event fostered a sense of healthy competition and encouraged students to think out of the box.

Character Portrayal

 MBS International School conducted a ‘Character Portrayal Activity’ for the students of class I and II on 17 October and 19 October 2023 respectively.

The students of class I showcased their spoken skills as they selected a character from one of their family members and provided a comprehensive description of their personality. Whereas, the students of class II came dressed up as their favourite cartoon character. They mimicked their character's voice and enacted short scenes, offering peers a joyful glimpse into the cartoon world.The students enjoyed the activity and displayed their talent confidently.

A great neighbourhood is important to have a good life because it helps in providing a safe and secure atmosphere. To familiarize students of Nursery and Kindergarten about neighbourhood places, MBS International School conducted ‘My Neighbourhood Places' activity on 17 October 2023. Students were informed about the significance of neighbourhood places through PPT’s and flash cards. They also pasted the pictures of places of neighbourhood like hospitals, fire stations and markets on sheets, thereby enhancing their fine motor skills. The teacher also emphasized on the role of helpers in different neighbourhood places. Memories are timeless treasures of the heart which can be captured in the photographs and decorated in photo frames. To develop art and creativity among students, MBS International School organised a ‘Photo Frame Making’ activity for the students of class I and II on 10 October 2023 and 12 October 2023 respectively. The primary objective was to promote creativity and craftsmanship among the students, wherein they showcased their artistic skills and created unique photo frames.

Participants utilized a wide range of techniques and materials to create their photo frames. Some frames incorporated intricate paper-cut designs, while others featured hand-painted illustrations. A few participants even added elements like seashells, ice cream sticks, buttons, and ribbons to add texture and depth to their frames.

Student thoroughly enjoyed this activity and successfully honed their fine motor skills while tapping into their creative abilities.

On 10 October 2023, MBS International School conducted ‘Cooking Without Fire' activity for the class Nursery and Kindergarten wherein they were engaged in making delicious Fruit Salad and Bhelpuri with the assistance of the facilitators. Students learned how to set the table with crockery and cutlery and were educated about the significance of not wasting food.

On Friday, 06 October 2023, MBS International School conducted an activity on ‘Mindful Eating for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten. During this engaging activity, teachers used flashcards to illustrate the importance of adopting healthy eating behaviors. The primary aim was to nurture healthy eating habits among the young pupils by encouraging them to focus on their meals, including their visual and olfactory aspects.

The ‘Bingo Maths Quiz Activity’, focusing on the concepts of addition and subtraction, was conducted for Class I on 3 October 2023 and for Class II on 5 October 2023 at MBS International school. The primary goal of this activity was to make mathematics more engaging and enjoyable for young learners. Students completed all the numbers on  their Bingo Card by correctly solving addition or subtraction problems.

To introduce our little MBSians to the mesmerising world of colours , MBS International School celebrated `Orange Colour Day’ with ‘Shades of Orange ‘ activity for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten on 04 October 2023. The aim was to foster the understanding of the orange colour . The classrooms of Nursery and Kindergarten were set up with orange background and the young learners were tasked with identifying orange objects around their surroundings. The student of Nursery did dabbing with orange in their art file while Kindergarten students did polybag dabbing to make flower

Scholar Scape Exhibition

On Saturday, 30 September 2023, MBS International School organised an educational exhibition along with the Parent Teacher Meeting. Beyond simply celebrating the spirit of curiosity and exploration, students presented a diverse range of models and experiments, including balancing and measuring scales, the concept of day and night, water purification, air pressure and many more. Students explained the working of their models. The aim was to cultivate inquisitiveness, critical thinking, and practical skills in our upcoming scientists. The exhibition did not only provide the opportunity to children to execute their ideas but also gave them the platform to demonstrate their ideas to a large group of parents and fellow students.

It served as a platform for students from diverse backgrounds to conceive, execute, and present their experiments. MBS International School continues to serve as a source of inspiration and a nurturing ground for the curiosity of future scientists, engineers, and innovators.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Budding Scientist

Nurturing young scientists is vital to education, as it encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for exploring the natural world. Keeping the same in mind, MBS International School conducted an Inter Class Activity ‘Budding Scientist’ on Tuesday, 26 September 2023 for the students of class I and II. Class I performed the experiment ‘Ping Pong balls’ wherein the children learned that air occupies space. While the students of Class II performed the experiment using ‘Turmeric and Detergent powder’ where they experienced that when detergent is mixed with turmeric powder it turns from yellow to red.

The experiments displayed the accomplishment and passion of our aspiring scientists, highlighting both their potential and the value of fostering their scientific endeavors.

MBS International School conducted 'Fruits and Seedsactivity on Monday, 25 September 2023 for the Nursery and Kindergarten classes. Students of Nursery were shown the sowing of seeds and were explained and shown the material required for its germination. While imaginative Kindergarten students expressed their creativity through art, producing vibrant and imaginative drawings of various fruits and seeds.

This collaborative activity blended education with enjoyment, leaving our young learners with a deep appreciation for the beauty and significance of fruits, seeds, and the natural world.

 

 

 

 

 

Young Chef -  Class II

Students of Class II of MBS International School, Dwarka donned their ‘Chef Caps’ to exhibit their culinary skills in ‘Young Chef Activity’ held on 21 September 2023. The aim was to introduce basic life skills of cooking without fire  and to make them aware about the importance of food. Students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm as they doled out nutritious yet delectable delicacies of their interest.

Artifacts and food items displayed were a visual treat and were presented in an artistic and aesthetic style. Students were also introduced to the basic table manners and the importance of following them .

It was a lot of fun to watch them do it and take pride in what they have made.

On Thursday, 21 September 2023, MBS International School conducted an activity on ‘Healthy Habits’ for the students of class Nursery and Kindergarten. The aim was to impart knowledge about healthy eating habits. During this activity, teachers donned costumes representing both nutritious and unhealthy food, sparkling lively discussion among the young learners. Additionally they presented a variety of images depicting both healthy and junk food along with respective benefits and effects on human bodies.

They made colourful and nutritious salads using various vegetables and fruits. Students learned about ingredients, nutrition, and dressing techniques. Ganesh Chaturthi, a festival celebrated with joy and enthusiasm, took center stage at MBS International School on Tuesday, 19 September 2023.This auspicious occasion provided a unique opportunity for young learners to establish a connection with vibrant cultural legacy, fostering a sense of tradition and unity. Students participated in various activities ranging from soulful singing, graceful dancing, and the recitation of shlokas. Teachers also played a crucial role in the celebration by engaging the audience with a captivating skit.

On 14 September 2023, MBS International School conducted ‘Fancy Dress’ activity on the theme ‘Famous Personalities of India.’

The children came dressed in an appropriate costume. Students displayed their talents and spoke about the famous personalities of India they were enacting. It was heartening to witness the confidence of young participants as they not only looked the part but also delivered impressive speeches about their chosen personalities.

Green Colour Day

On Monday, 11 September 2023, MBS International School conducted an engaging ‘Green Colour Day’ activity. The aim was to foster the understanding of the green colour. The classrooms of both Nursery and Kindergarten were set up with green background and the young learners were tasked with identifying green objects in their surroundings. The students of Nursery painted a leaf and pasted the same in their art file while kindergarten students completed green colour worksheet.

Janmashtami - Nursery and Kindergarten

Janamashtami is a momentous occasion that commemorates the birth of Lord Krishna on our earthly realm. On 6 September 2023, MBS International School took the opportunity to rejoice and educate young minds about Lord Krishna by presenting a beautiful act, depicting the deeds of His life. Our little MBSians adorned themselves as Lord Krishna and Radha, embellishing their attire with peacock feathers, along with having flutes in their hands.

The atmosphere was imbued with the fragrant essence of flowers, the soothing aroma of camphor, and the delightful sound of tinkling bells. Flute Decoration Activity

Krishna Janmashtami is a festival which is dedicated to Lord Krishna, who is the supreme personality of Godhead.

MBS International School conducted Flute Decoration Activity for Class II students on 06 September 2023. The students made 3D flute and applied glitter, embellished it with mirrors, colourful beads, ribbons, stones, and colourful papers. The pupils pasted the 3D flute to an A4-sized sheet and inscribed a lovely message about Janmashtami.

This activity aimed at developing fine motor skills among the children and at the same time aimed at initiating an understanding regarding the sentiments of being close to their traditions and cultural values

 

 

 

 

 

Solo Dance Performance

MBS International School conducted an Inter Class Activity ‘Solo Dance Performance’ on 6 September , 2023 for the students of class I. The theme of the activity was ‘Traditional Folk Dance’. The main aim was to provide a platform for young learners to showcase their dancing skills in form of various traditional folk dances and promote cultural awareness among the students. The participants were dressed up in traditional costumes which complemented their dance and added authenticity to their performances.

Every year, on the 5th of September, we come together to honour the remarkable individuals who shape our destinies - our teachers. It is a day when we pay homage to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary coincides with this special occasion.

With this perspective, students of nursery and kindergarten dressed in their favourite attire and participated in enactments, dance, heartwarming teacher’s day card-making activity and expressing gratitude for their teachers. Fun games and interactive learning experiences create an atmosphere of togetherness and excitement.  

Students also wished their teachers - ‘Happy Teacher’s Day’ joyfully.

A special assembly on Teacher’s Day and Janmashtami was presented by the students of Teresa House on 5 September 2023, to commemorate the birth of the second President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a philosopher, a great teacher and  ‘Natkahat Nand Lal’ who taught everyone principles of Good Karma and Bhakti.
The assembly commenced with a prayer, followed by a speech on Teacher’s day that not only provided an insight into the life of Dr.Radhakrishnan but also celebrated the teacher’s contribution in making the future generation responsible citizens of tomorrow. The cultural programme celebrated the birth of Shri Krishna and encapsulated his teachings through religious songs presented by senior students. Melodious Songs filled the atmosphere with devotion, allowing everyone to connect with the divine. Dance performance and skit made the day the most memorable one for the teachers.
The senior students presented titles to the teachers acknowledging the sincere efforts of each teacher whom they witnessed selflessly engaging to make their educational journey smooth and rewarding.
The winning students of Ripples Inter School Fest 2023 were awarded with prestigious trophies and certificates. The school secured First position in Swaralaya and Interlocutors’ Parely, Second in Eluminators and Canva -Newsletter and Third position in Ad Mad Show. Additionally, certificates were given to students for their involvement in club activities and the olympiad during the school assembly. Additionally three teachers of our school Ms. Babita Rangra, Ms. Juliet Anthony, and Ms. Parul Trivedi were honoured with appreciation letters from the School Principal as some of their students secured centum scores in CBSE class X Board Examination 2023. Furthermore, the contributions of Ms. Shiny Benjamin and Ms. Rishu Kaul to the International Dimension in School 2022-25 (ISA- British Council) programme were duly acknowledged. Their dedication and efforts were honored with certificates, highlighting their valuable input to the programme.
It is worth mentioning that the School Principal, along with the institution itself, received a well-deserved appreciation certificate from the esteemed International Dimension in School 2022-25 (ISA- British Council) programme.
This recognition serves as a testament to the school's commitment to excellence and its dedication to fostering a global perspective among its students.
The School Principal, Mr. Atul Wadhawan, reminded the students of the tireless labour and love that all the teachers put in to nurture them as knowledgeable and compassionate individuals.
It was a remarkable day for all the MBSians with many unforgettable moments.
The teachers applauded the overwhelming zeal and enthusiasm exhibited by the students for making such a glorious event a memorable one.The assembly concluded with the School Song and  National Anthem .
The students also presented their teachers with beautifully handwritten cards and letters, filled with heartfelt wishes for Teachers' Day. These tokens of appreciation hold immense sentimental value and serve as cherished mementos, symbolizing the profound bond shared between teachers and students.
In a delightful twist, senior students embraced the role of teachers, stepping into the shoes of their mentors and assuming teaching responsibilities for the day. This fostered empathy and a deeper understanding of the dedication required to educate and nurture young minds.
The school honoured all teachers with gifts, aiming to create an unforgettable day for them. Subsequently, a delectable lunch was served to the esteemed educators.

Raksha bandhan is a special day that celebrates the unique bond shared between the brothers and sisters. Keeping this in mind, MBS International School organised ‘The Bond Of Love’ activity on 28 August 2023 for the students of Nursery and Kindergarten. The students decorated rakhi with beautiful decorative material. Through this our little ones demonstrated their skills by making a variety of vibrant rakhis. This activity emphasized to inculcating the value of love, care, and protection. The students displayed their creativity with great enthusiasm.

 

 

 

 

 

Cosplay-Enactment of Famous Personalities

                "Humans have historically used the arts in integrative ways, particularly within the contexts of enactment, ceremony, performance, and ritual.”  ― Cathy A.   Malchiodi                        Role play is an interactive and immersive activity that enables participants to gain a deeper understanding of the personalities of famous individuals. Keeping the same in mind MBS International School conducted the Inter-Class Competition ‘Cosplay- Enactment of Famous Personalities’ on 9 August 2023 for the students of Class III.

Role play allows participants to step into the shoes of famous individuals, fostering empathy and a better understanding of their struggles and triumphs. Each student demonstrated with full zeal and participated enthusiastically in the competition. Participants embodied the personas of famous individuals enabling them to explore their thoughts, emotions, and viewpoints.

 

 

 

 

 

Magical Words

Using polite words is a quality that is appreciated by all and to inject the same among our little champs, MBS International School organised ‘Magical Words’ activity on 21 August 2023. Values of speaking softly and how to use magical words were taken up in an interesting way through a story session for classes Nursery and Kindergarten. This activity emphasised on inculcating the use of magic words in their conversations.

The event not only exposed the joy of storytelling but also enriched their vocabulary, imagination and communication skills. By combining interactive activities with captivating narratives, the school effectively created an engaging and educational experience for its nursery and kindergarten students.

  

 

 

 

 

Wind Chime

It is rightly said that learning is a product of the activities of learners. Thus, to help the students gain experience, develop confidence, and foster creativity and artistic skills, ‘Best out of Waste: Wind Chime Making’ Activity was organised by the Eco Club of MBS International School on August 16, 2023 for the students of Class V.

Students utilized a wide range of discarded materials for the wind chime creations, including old keys, bottle caps, plastic beads, straws, beads, tin cans, seashells, etc. The participants were given the freedom to personalise their wind chimes by adding additional decorative elements such as paint, ribbons, and strings. Students showed how to assemble the selected materials into a harmonious arrangement that would produce pleasant sounds when moved by the wind. Once the wind chimes were assembled and personalised, the students made final adjustments to ensure they produced soothing and melodious sounds.

The students exhibited remarkable creativity and innovation during the activity. Each wind chime showcased unique design and combinations of materials, reflecting the diverse artistic perspectives of the participants.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Turtle Making

With the aim of promoting Eco-consciousness and nurturing creativity, the Eco Club of MBS International School conducted a ‘Turtle making’ activity for the students of Class III. This initiative encouraged participants to transform discarded materials into artistic turtle representations, highlighting recycling in an engaging way.

Participants embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, showcasing remarkable creativity in their turtle sculptures. Beyond artistic expression, the event emphasized sustainability and inventive use of waste materials. The participants’ dedication to both creativity and eco-friendliness made this activity a notable success.

The rainy season is always a fun time for the kids and it makes the school environment also mesmerising for the tiny tots to celebrate the Monsoon with full enthusiasm. With this note, MBS International School organised an activity ‘Pitter-Patter Raindrops’ on Wednesday, 9 August 2023 for Nursery and Kindergarten students

The students of Nursery made 3D umbrellas with craft papers and were encouraged to talk about the Rainy Season. Kindergarten kids utilised glaze paper to demonstrate their inventiveness by tearing and pasting in an umbrella. They were completely engrossed in the activity where the facilitator also enriched their vocabulary by telling them new words like gumboots, raincoat, umbrella, puddle etc. The children enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the activity in which their creative skills were fostered.

MBS International school keeps on concocting innovative techniques and styles with which learning could be made more rewarding and interesting for the Mbsians.

 

 

 

 

 

Object Talk

On Wednesday, 02 August 2023, MBS International School has conducted an ‘Object Talk’ Activity for Class I students. Object talk is a teaching approach that centers on discussing a physical object or visual aid to convey information.  The main objective of this activity was to encourage clear and concise goal-setting through effective communication. The activity involved children presenting their toys to their classmates and showcasing their talents of speaking skill. Their impressive articulation, expressive abilities, and confidence while sharing information about different objects made the experience enriching for everyone involved. Overall, the activity provided a valuable learning opportunity for all the students.

         

 

  

 

  

Hurdle Race

MBS International School organised ‘Hurdle Race Activity’on 8 August 2023.The objective of the race was to make children stay focused as there were various hurdles for them to complete and develop kinesthetic abilities. In this activity,a  runner raced over a series of obstacles called hurdles, which were set a fixed distance apart. All the students remained in assigned lines throughtout the race. The first hurdler who completed the course was the winner. The activity brought optimism and sportmanship amongst students to transform the world of sports by developing an integrated kinship. It catered to cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains of learning. The students participated with great will and enthusiasm.

 

 

 

 

 

Skating Competition

MBS International School hosted an Intra-Class Skating Competition on 27 July 2023. The students of Class I enthusiastically participated in the competition as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. Roller skating is the perfect way to combine fitness with fun, helping people develop fitness habits while enjoying a sport suitable for all ages. The primary objective of this competition was to provide a platform for improved balance, coordination, and agility. The students were able to portray their talent and showcased an energetic and enthusiastic performance which was applauded by the audience.

 

 

 

 

Garden of Good Habits

MBS International School organised ‘Garden of Good Habits Activity’ on 7 August 2023. Good habits are the building blocks of a successful and fulfilled life. The event was an ideal combination of enjoyable and engaging activities, where in the students of Nursery identified and differentiated flash cards of good habits and bad habits, while Kindergarten students were encouraged to write good habits on the hand cut-outs. The enthusiasm and eagerness displayed by the children during the activity was remarkable.

 

 

 

 

Smile With Yoga

 In an effort to enhance students' physical and mental well-being, MBS International School conducted 'Smile With Yoga' activity for Class II students on Thursday, 3 August 2023.The yoga session commenced with warming up and stretching exercises to prepare the participants. Following this, a sequence of asanas was practiced, including Tadasana, Hastasana and Trikonasana to improve flexibility and posture. The session also included Paschimottanasana which helps in strengthening the back and spine. The session concluded with the relaxing and rejuvenating Shavasana pose, allowing participants to experience a deep sense of tranquility. The yoga activity proved to be a valuable and enriching experience for the students. 

 

 

 

 

Pastel Fun Activity

MBS International School conducted an Intra Class ‘Pastel Fun Activity’ on 31 July 2023. The students of class Nursery and Kindergarten enthusiastically participated in the activity as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent through drawing and colouring. The activity served as an inspiration for young artists to step forward and showcase their artistic skills. The main objective of this activity was to ignite the creative side of the children’s mind and help develop their fine motor skills and also encourage their interest in drawing and colouring. The event fostered a sense of camaraderie and joy among the young participants.

 

 

 

 

Hassi Ke Phuware

Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings and emotions recollected in tranquility. In order to encourage students to read and love poetry an Inter -Class Hindi Hasya Kavita Competition-Hassi ke Phuware was held at MBS International School on 2 August 2023 for the students of Class –III.

The students recited funny and humorous poems full of wit and wisdom with proper voice modulation, pronunciation and the required expressions. It was indeed a very entertaining competition where each participant tickled the funny bone and brought a smile to the faces of the audience.  It was a pleasure to watch the little ones recite the poems so confidently. Amazing, eye-catching, beautiful costumes and props were used to recite the poem. The expressions and delivery of the poems captured the attention of each one present.

The competition was a great success and gave a platform for the students 

 

 

 

 

Honour the Mother

A mother is not only the first teacher but also a friend indeed. She loves her children unconditionally and guides them on the right path in life. The bond between a mother and her child is inexplicable. In order to celebrate the beautiful occasion of Mother's Day, MBS International School organised 'Honour the Mother (Paper Award)' activity for Class II wherein students made a paper badge for their mothers.

The children came up with new and innovative ideas for their badges. They wrote a beautiful message for their mothers. The outcome of their efforts was astounding.

Overall, the dedication of our tiny tots paid off splendidly, as each badge turned out to be extraordinary in its own way. It was an incredible way to make Mother's Day even more meaningful and memorable! 

 

 

 

 

Mask Making Activity - Class I

MBS International School hosted an Intra Class ‘Mask Making Competition’ on Tuesday 18 July 2023 for the students of Class I. The event aimed to promote creativity among the students & cultivate an appreciation of beauty through the art of crafting. Wearing masks that instantly transported them into various characters such as animals, aliens, clowns, and fairies added to the joy of the competition. Each completed mask brought a unique persona, breathing life into a new character.

Little hands with imaginative minds came together in a creative burst of energy and demonstrated mind-blowing and fantabulous ideas. Fabulous participation of all the students was observed during this joyful activity.

 

 

 

 

Just A Minute Activity

MBS International School hosted an Intra Class Activity ‘Just A Minute (JAM)’ on 21 July 2023. The students of class I participated in the activity and got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The activity inspired young minds to step forward and showcase their speaking skills on the stage. The students were given a time target of one minute and had to choose a topic from four cartoon characters: Peppa Pig, Goofy, Popeye the Sailorman and Mickey Mouse. They presented their thoughts on the selected character with great fondness, confidence and zeal. They learned the skill of public speaking, confidence and developed the perfection of expression and emotions. The participants expressed their thoughts and love for their favourite cartoon character by adding an extra element of props and colourful costumes in their performances. They were dressed up beautifully and used the props appropriately.

 

 

 

 

Yellow Colour Day

MBS International School celebrated ‘Yellow Colour Day’ for Nursery and Kindergarten classes on Tuesday, 18 July 2023. During this celebration, the students enthusiastically embraced the theme by adorning themselves in captivating shades of yellow and proudly presented various yellow objects. They actively honed their fine motor skills by engaging in activities such as drawing, colouring, and sponge printing. The cheerful ambience and lively decorations effectively emphasised the significance of the colour yellow which symbolises happiness, energy, and optimism.

In conclusion, this joyful and dynamic occasion left a lasting impact on the children, providing them with a joyful and invigorating experience. 

 

 

           

  Developing Smart Study Habits

In collaboration with Anon Foundation Group, MBS International School hosted an enriching and informative workshop titled ‘Developing Smart Study Habits’ on Saturday, 22 July 2023, that successfully united a diverse gathering of parents with children aged between 5 to 8 years. The workshop aimed to provide parents with valuable insights and effective strategies to support their children's learning journey and foster smart study habits.

The workshop highlighted the crucial role parents play in shaping their child's educational journey and underscored the significant impact of developing intelligent study habits on their academic accomplishments.

Ms. Arti Girdhar, a proficient educationist and philanthropist, serves as the Founder & President of ANON Global Foundation. Alongside her, Ms. Reena Alug, a motivational speaker, co-facilitated an enlightening session on diverse learning Styles. Ms. Arti, possessing a Master's degree in Psychology, focuses on the significance of mental and physical health, particularly for children and young individuals. On the other hand, Reena brings her corporate and entrepreneurial background to the table, empowering numerous individuals with her motivational speeches, encouraging them to believe in their potential.

Parents were enlightened about the idea of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners, enabling them to discern and comprehend their child's individualized learning inclinations. Armed with this knowledge, parents were empowered to customize study methods that harmonize with their children's strengths. During the workshop, the resource persons engaged parents in diverse activities aimed at equipping them with the tools to guide their children effectively on the right path of studies. Guardians were encouraged to applaud their children's efforts rather than solely focusing on achievements, emphasizing the enduring value of perseverance and resilience in the journey of learning.

The ‘Developing Smart Study Habits’ workshop for parents was a resounding success, fostering a stronger partnership between parents, educators, and the school. The insights gained during the workshop will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the students' academic performance and personal growth. Balloon Race

The Balloon Race, an Inter House Sports Competition for students of class III was organized on 19 July 2023 in MBS International School. The purpose of this event was to encourage sportsmanship and provide a fun-filled experience for the participants.

The Balloon Race Competition took place on the school grounds. Each class III was divided into teams representing different houses. The participants were given colorful balloons and were required to complete the race without dropping or touching the balloon before reaching the finishing line.

The students' enthusiasm was evident throughout the event. They cheered for their respective houses and encouraged their fellow mates to perform their best. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and friendly competition. The participants showcased excellent coordination to keep the balloons intact during the race.

After a thrilling competition, the winners of the Balloon Race were announced. 

Taste Bhi Health Bhi

Eating healthy food fills your body with energy and nutrients. Imagine your cells smiling back at you and saying: Thank you.”  -Karen Salmansohn

To inculcate the habit of eating healthy food and to learn about food and nutrition in a safe and engaging way, MBS International School conducted the activity Taste Bhi Health Bhi on 19 July 2023 for the students of class IV and V.

Such activities provide a unique opportunity for the students to learn the value of healthy food, and make the whole process of learning about food, enjoyable without the risk of burns or other injuries. Research has shown that healthy eating habits are more likely to stay with you if you learn them as a child. This life skill activity helps children build self-confidence, encourages creativity. The activity teaches students about the ingredients of their dish and how to make healthy choices.

Each student enthusiastically participated in the activity where they presented their plates with healthy food items and spoke about their nutritional value. Some displayed their culinary art through salads, sandwiches, fruit skewers, and dips by making food pyramid. Everyone’s participation was monitored very closely and appreciated.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mask Making Activity

On 20 July 2023, MBS International School conducted an exciting Intra-class ‘Mask Making Competition’ for Class II students. The masks they created ranged from fun and mysterious to even frightful, giving birth to unique characters once worn. It proved to be a rewarding and imaginative process, engaging the children in improving their eye and hand coordination.

The primary aim of this activity was to nurture and promote creativity among the students, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills. The event witnessed an impressive display of creativity as the students presented their beautifully crafted masks. The children thoroughly enjoyed the process of making and adorning the masks.

 

 

 

 

Taekwondo Activity

‘Taekwondo’ is a form of self-defence and unarmed combat art that entails skillfully employing techniques including punching, jumping kicks, blocking, dodging, and motions with hands and feet to avoid any physical attack. It is a system of training both the mind and the body, with a strong emphasis on character development.

On 13 July 2023, a Taekwondo Activity was organised to provide an opportunity for our Grade II students to improve their self-defence skills, discipline, focus, and overall wellness. Students were evaluated based on their sense of balance, posture, strength, attentiveness and technique. They gained excellent Taekwondo skills and learned about it.

 

 

 

 

 

Land Transport Activity

Transportation plays a vital role in connecting people and facilitating the movement of goods. It allows us to travel and obtain essential items. Understanding transportation helps us appreciate its importance in our daily lives.

To acquaint the students with various means of land transport, MBS International School organised a ‘Land Transport Activity’ on 13 July 2023, for our tiny tots. The children gained valuable insight into the importance of different modes of transport with the help of transport themed toys.

In the classroom, the children enthusiastically shared and played with their transport toys. The Nursery students used coloured paper and ice cream sticks to create moving cars, while the kindergarten students crafted paper truck models.

                                                                                                                                                                      

 Spell Bee

The Spell Bee Activity was held on 5 July, 2023 in the classroom environment. The competition was designed to challenge the participant’s vocabulary, spelling accuracy, and quick thinking. This highly anticipated event aimed to promote love for words, encourage healthy competition, foster a supportive learning environment, and inject the confidence to tackle challenging words.

The activity witnessed outstanding performances from all participants, showcasing their linguistic prowess and dedication.

The activity was an immense success. Such activities empower our students to become effective communicators, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners. These endeavors not only sharpen linguistic abilities but also foster a love for learning among our students.

 

 

 

 

Water Transport Activity

To acquaint our tiny tots with various means of watertransport, MBS International School organised  ‘Aqua ride-water Transport Activity’ on 17 July 2023.

The Mbsians were given coloured sheets and were instructed to make paper boats and they were also asked to colour them. Additionally, the kids were shown a video of a tour inside a ship, which illustrated the various parts of a ship and the roles of people working on the ship. Overall, it was an informative and fun-filled day that helped the kidsto learn about water transport its components, and its significance in various fields such as travel, trade and rescue operations.

 

 

 

 

 

Rhyme Recitation Competition

MBS International School hosted an Intra Class Rhyme Recitation Competition on 6 July 2023. The students of class II enthusiastically participated in the competition as they got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence. The competition served as an inspiration for young poets to step forward and showcase recitation skills on the stage. The students presented a variety of poems on the theme ‘My Favourite Season’ and recited them with great fondness and zeal. They enjoyed the perfection of expression, thoughts, emotions, rhythm and music of words.

All the participants left no stone unturned to win. Students were judged on the parameters like confidence, voice modulation, memorization and overall presentation. It was a splendid opportunity for them to gain confidence through stage exposure. The pleasing performances of the participants brought delight to everyone in attendance.

As the summer vacation came to an end, students were prepared to resume their daily routines. The aim was to motivate and inspire them to return to school with cheerful expressions.

With warm hearts, MBS International School warmly welcomed all the students after their refreshing break, setting the tone for a day filled with enthusiasm and vitality. The students entered the campus with radiating brightness and happiness, ready to embark on a joyful learning experience. Reuniting with friends and engaging in lively discussions further fueled their energy, ensuring a vibrant start. The campus hummed with excitement as students eagerly embraced a diverse range of captivating activities, a well-structured curriculum, and the promise of enjoyable days ahead.

An array of educational activities were organized for the students, creating an atmosphere of magnificent knowledge and erudition. The young learners of Nursery class immersed themselves in coloring and crafting beautiful headgear, exuding joy. Meanwhile, the Kindergarten students enthusiastically created bookmarks, fostering their love for reading. The active participation of the students captivated everyone, making it a truly enchanting return. Summer Fun -Nursery and Kindergarten

On 12 May 2023, MBS International School organised various activities to  stimulate and challenge the students, who had to  adorn their thinking caps to complete these activities. The prime objective was to provide an opportunity to the participants to creatively express themselves.

Summer vacation is the best time of the year for children as they get an opportunity to explore new things. The Nursery and Kindergarten students celebrated ‘Summer Fun Day’ on the last day of school.

Children enjoyed playing outdoor games and made beautiful summer craft. To call it a day off, they watched a movie in the end and bid bye bye to their teachers and friends. The day culminated wherein the children grooved to the rhythm of the music. The smiles on the students’ faces were a proof of the grand success of the day. 

 

 

 

 

School Tour

Excitement abounded as the Nursery students eagerly gathered for a special tour of school on Thursday, 4 May 2023. The purpose of the tour was to take the children on an enthralling journey through different areas of MBS International school. It helped them to become more acquainted with their surroundings and fostering a deeper appreciation for their learning environment.

As the tour commenced, the children formed a train and walked through the colourful corridors, which were adorned with exquisitely vibrant artwork made by students of the school. Their young eyes gleamed with wonder and delight as they gazed at the bright colours and intriguing shapes that enveloped them.

The students started from the reception area and then they moved towards the Principal’s office. They also visited various other rooms including the Vice Principal's office, Music room, Library, Wellness zone and the IT lab. They even visited the playground and eagerly absorbed everything they saw and heard.

The tour was not just a fun and exciting experience but it was also profoundly educational.

Overall, it was an extraordinary experience for the young students, providing them with a sense of familiarity and comfort in their own school environment.

 

 

 

 

Ball Race

Sports provide an excellent avenue for learning at any age, but they are particularly crucial for young students. Playing sports helps children acquire critical thinking skills. They can learn to solve problems, develop effective strategies, and cultivate confidence and abilities.Games are incredibly effective learning tools because they strike the perfect balance between enjoyment and challenge.
With all these considerations in mind, a ‘Ball Race’ activity was organised for the students of class II on 4 May 2023.
In the activity children were paired and guided not to hold or touch the ball with their hands. Therefore, children employed a variety of techniques, adhered to the rules and guidelines, and learned how to coordinate and synchronize with their partner to balance the ball until they reached the finishing point.
Overall, the activity provided an excellent opportunity for children’s growth and development.
 

 

 

 

 

Cooking without Fire

Food is life, cooking is fun. Combine the two and you're sure to discover that it is very easy to prepare a meal for oneself. To develop the skill of cooking, MBS International School conducted a class activity ‘Cooking without Fire’ on 3 May 2023 for the students of Classes III and IV.

Cooking without fire provides a unique opportunity for the students to learn about food and nutrition without the risk of burns or other injuries. It encourages creativity and problem-solving skills as students work within the constraints of not using heat to prepare their dish. It also teaches students about nutrition and healthy eating habits, as they learn about the ingredients in their dish and how to make healthy choices.

The students prepared healthy dishes and presented the dishes in an artistic and aesthetic way. The response of the students to this activity was quite heartwarming wherein they were fully prepared with all the ingredients. Children participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Labour Day Celebration

MBS International School Dwarka commemorated Labour Day by organising an event centered on the theme ‘Without labour, nothing prospers,’ which aimed to recognise and honour the dedicated work of the supporting staff members of the school.

Labour Day is an important occasion to raise awareness and appreciation for the pivotal role played by individuals who drive our economy forward. At our school, we strive to instill a culture of gratitude and respect for the labour force, which serves as the backbone of our society.

During the celebration, the teachers provided the students of Nursery and Kindergarten with a comprehensive overview of the historical significance of Labour Day. The students showed their sincere appreciation towards the supporting staff members, such as maids, drivers, guards, gardeners and electricians, through various activities, including imprinting their fingerprints on a card shaped like a flower. These activity symbolized their gratitude for the unwavering efforts of the supporting staff of the school.

Overall, this event helped in fostering kindness and respect in our students by recognising and honouring the valuable contributions of the labour force.

 

 

 

 

Nurture Nature

Recitation is an immensely efficacious technique for acquiring proficiency in a language. It helps students to build confidence and speak more accurately and persuasively about any piece of writing. Taking all these facts into consideration, Poem Recitation Activity was organised for Class II on April 27, 2023 on the topic ‘ Nurture the Nature.’
 
Children got an opportunity to come forward and recite a poem based on ‘Nature’ with their voice modulation and amazing memorizing skills. They delivered their performance with colourful props which enhanced their presentation. They were given the freedom to express their feelings with the creativity of words and emotion to convey a message to the audience.
 
The zealous participation of the students made the activity an enriching learning experience.
 
 

 

 

 

 

Body parts and their functions

On April 27, 2023, MBS International School organised an activity called ‘My Body Parts and their functions’ to familiarize children about their bodies.

During the activity, children learned about the different body parts and their functions, which enabled them to perform various tasks. Additionally, it was an opportunity for the children to expand their vocabulary and learning experiences.

Various engaging activities and games were included in the programme, such as Power Point presentations, flashcards, and fun rhymes like ‘Head, shoulders, knees, and toes’ and ‘Ten little fingers.’ The goal was to make the learning experience more enjoyable for the children.

Overall, the activity was a fun-filled experience that enabled the children to become more aware of their bodies and understand their different functioning.

 

 

 

 

Gratitude - Card Making

Entity Club of MBS International School organised Gratitude Card-Making activity on April 26, 2023. The purpose of this activity was to encourage students to take a moment to express their appreciation and gratitude for the people in their lives who have supported and encouraged them. The activity was a unique and meaningful way to teach our students the importance of expressing gratitude and appreciation. It helped students connect with their emotions and appreciate the contributions of others in their lives.

The activity was a great success. Students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed making the cards. It was heartening to see students express their appreciation and gratitude towards their loved ones. Some students expressed their gratitude towards their parents for their love and support, some towards their teachers for their guidance and encouragement, and some towards their friends for always being there for them.

 

 

 

 

Conquer your Fear - Role Play

It is rightly said that learning is a product of the activities of learners. Thus, to help the students gain experience, develop confidence, and foster creativity and communication skills, an activity "Conquer Your Fear-Role Play" was organised by Entity Club of MBS International School on April 26, 2023, for the students of Class V.

Students got an opportunity to showcase their presentation skills and, at the same time, learn while having fun. Students presented a small act in which they portrayed themselves as famous personalities.

The students awaited their turn with impatience. Each student gave a passionate performance, enhancing the intrigue of their characters with a range of costumes and props. They became totally absorbed in the role, and they spoke with utter assurance. Throughout the performances, they helped each other stay inspired and encouraged. The children were graded according to standards including speaking clarity, body language and expression, and character portrayal.

This activity proved to be a great success. The students not only overcame their fear of public speaking but also had a joyful learning experience.

We firmly believe that fostering self –expression and the celebration of individuality is a critical aspect of our students’ overall growth and development. To meet this end MBS International School organised ‘I am Unique’ activity on Monday, April 24, 2023 aimed at nurturing the self-awareness and confidence of our Nursery and Kindergarten students. This activity provided an opportunity for each child to share information about themselves.

The activity was a great success in empowering the students to embrace their individuality and appreciate their distinctiveness. The students demonstrated commendable courage and enthusiasm in sharing their unique attributes, which were heartwarming to witness. By recognising and celebrating their uniqueness, the students have become self –assured and confident individuals. Recycle Art

On the 53rd Earth Day, we observed a pivotal day to initiate actions towards conserving our beautiful and life-sustaining planet.

To sensitize the students about the importance of preserving our planet, MBS International School celebrated ‘Earth Day’ with full vigour and zeal. ‘Recycle Art’ activity was organised to instil in the students a determination to preserve our ‘Mother Planet’ in which Class I students created beautiful art pieces using old reusable material.

 Through this initiative, we hope to inspire a generation of environment conscious students to work towards the preservation of our planet.

Let us take the oath in protecting the environment and working towards a sustainable future on this day.

 

 

 

 

 

Circuit Race

A Circuit Race event was organized for Class -I on April 18, 2023 at MBS International School to encourage sportsmanship amongst the young students and to give them an opportunity to showcase their talent in athletics. It was held in the school premises, where students jumped over the hurdles and ended up standing in the hula hoops. The activity encouraged our little learners to get involved in more such physical activities in the future. The amount of joy felt by children participating in it was overwhelming and the event proved to be a huge success.

 

 

 

 

Corn Craft Activity

Students’ imagination knows no bounds and it is crucial for facilitators to help them to unleash their creativity. In MBS International School, Dwarka, we believe in exploring and creating new ways of thinking among students. Keeping this view in mind, a corn craft activity was conducted for Class- II students on April 20, 2023. It was a fantastic way to engage children in hands-on practice. The children were delighted while tearing and pasting crepe sheets and making beautiful craft. 

They learned about harvesting day through this fun activity, which kept them engaged throughout. It was a pleasure to watch the students performing the activity with great enthusiasm. The activity proved to be a great learning experience for the students and provided a platform for them to explore their hidden talents

 

 

 

 

Red Colour Day

Colours symbolize life, optimism, and happiness. To introduce our little MBSians to the mesmerizing world of colours, MBS International School celebrated ‘Red Colour Day’ & ‘Shades of Red’ activity for the students of Pre-Primary Wing on April 17, 2023 and April 18, 2023.

The teachers and students participated wholeheartedly to make the day memorable. The little angels looked alluring in their red outfits and the shades of red made them feel lively and cheerful. They enthusiastically participated in the game called ‘Treasure Hunt’ and looked for red colour objects around them. The excitement and spark was evident in the eyes of the little ones as they showed the red object to their teacher. The tiny tots excitedly participated in ‘Tearing and Pasting Activity’. They were also thrilled to colour their red worksheets. The active participation of the young learners in all the activities helped in reinforcing their fine motor and cognitive skills to a great extent. The story of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ was also shared to enhance their listening skills. The energetic angels could not resist dancing to a rhythmic action song.

It was a scintillating day with innocent faces gleaming and reflecting brightness, joy, love and happiness. 

 

 

 

 

Lyrical Verses - English Poem Recitation

Recitation activities help students build confidence as they learn to speak more accurately and persuasively about any piece of writing. Keeping this in mind, MBS International School conducted Lyrical Verses: English Poetry Recitation activity on April 19, 2023 for the students of Class – III & V

The students came up with different poems on the given theme and recited with great perfection of expression, thoughts, emotions, rhythm and intonation.

The young poets enthralled everyone with their articulation and memory skills while reciting poems. It was a splendid opportunity for them to gain confidence, boost their spirits, and enrich their verbal skills.

Many children recited poems on burning issues, such as pollution, saving trees, and the harmful effects of plastic on our environment. A significant message was spread through their poems that it is essential to conserve natural resources.

 

 

 

 

 

Know Me Better

The first few weeks of school are time spent with engaging activities. Activities that help children adjust back into the learning zone and build positive relationships. It's about getting students to reach their sense of self-development also and bringing a team-building aspect amongst each other. Keeping this in mind, Know me better Activity of Grade I was conducted on April 11, 2023 where students were engaged in an activity in which they introduced themselves on the basis of their name, class, age, favourite things etc.  It encouraged and developed self confidence among students and gave them clarity by having a chance to know each other. It was a fun-filled day where children got to interact and socialize with their peers in a loving way. They relished the experience and learned more facts about their classmates. The activity was full of enthusiasm and students adorned their thinking caps to complete the assigned activities.

Even the hardest puzzle has a solution. Here goes a yet another astonishing day at MBS International School full of enthusiasm and excitement.

Figure Me Out Activity for Class- II was conducted on April 13, 2023. Students were engaged in an activity in which they figured themselves on the basis of their height, weight, age, etc. This activity helped the students to think out of the box and was thoroughly enjoyed by them. It was a pleasure to watch the students performing the activity with such elan.

The activity proved to be a great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents.

 

 

 

 

Fun with Origami

In our endeavour to develop crafting and creativity skills in life, MBS International School, Dwarka, conducted the Class Activity "Fun with Origami - Butterfly Making" on April 12, 2023 for the students of Classes IV & V.

The students gained knowledge on how to harness their abilities to develop a creative attitude and apply their imaginations through this activity.  They performed this activity individually under the Class Teacher’s guidance.

Each student demonstrated full zeal and participated enthusiastically in the activity. Facilitator explained how to make a butterfly using origami, and students were very curious and happy to learn how butterflies can be smartly created using paper and can be used for decorations. Everyone’s participation was monitored very closely, ensuring that they grasped the concept of activity very clearly.

This activity not only helped them to develop their inquisitive minds and curiosity but also increased their ability to enhance their creative and motor skills.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Move & Mingle

"Let's get moving and make new friends!"

"On Friday, April 6, 2023, in the Pre-primary wing, an activity called Move and Mingle' was organised for the children. It was a fun-filled day where the children got to interact and socialize with their peers while indulging in some physical activity. The activity was a huge success, and the children thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.

The children were incredibly excited and enthusiastic as soon as the exercise began. They sprinted in that direction, excited to see the many stations set up with various games and activities. They were actively engaged in every game, from ring toss to hopscotch, showing off their prowess and having a fantastic time.

One of the best parts of the activity was the partner assignment. The children were paired up with someone new, and they were encouraged to mingle and interact with each other while moving from one station to another. They embraced this opportunity and were seen laughing, talking, and having fun with their partners.

The upbeat music that was playing in the background added to the ambiance of the activity, keeping the children motivated and engaged. It was heartening to see every child participate enthusiastically, cheering each other, and displaying sportsmanship.

As the activity came to a close, the children were beaming with joy and were already looking forward to the next session. The rewards, like stickers and small prizes, were the icing on the cake, as every child felt valued for participating.

With the start of New Session 2023–2024, MBS International School was poised to flourish as it regained its life. With new facilitators and fresh classrooms, the children began their academic journey once more, resonating with joy and upbeat discourse. After a productive session break, they were reunited with their friends and facilitators.

The first day of class is always devoted to warm-up exercises, orienting new students, and informing students of curriculum or modifications to policies. On, April 3 2023, a variety of enjoyable activities were planned and carried out in the "Happy Classroom" for the students in classes Nur to to V to ensure a fantastic first day of school.

The teacher-planned activities had the students completely absorbed. 

Everyone was fascinated by the pupils' fervent participation. What an amazing turnaround it was! Students gained vigour and zeal as well as a broader understanding of the necessary skills.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Acclimatization Day

Pre-Primary education gives the child the foundation to take pleasure in learning for the lifetime. The main aim of Pre-primary education is to attain an optimal perceptual, motor, cognitive and socio-emotional levels as the basis for readiness for school education and the life in the society. The starting point is the uniqueness of the child, active learning, and integration in a group.

In pursuing the aims of Pre-Primary education, MBS International School welcomed the tiny tots of Nursery and Kindergarten by organizing ‘Acclimatization Day’ on Saturday April 1, 2023. The passionate facilitators welcomed the young ones as well as their parents. The facilitators made a frame for the picture shoot, which helped to create memories that would last a lifetime. Many educational and fun filled activities like hopscotch, block game, Simon says, Toss the Ball, Freeze Dance were conducted to make the children comfortable in the new environment of school. Students thoroughly enjoyed the activities and fully immersed themselves in them.

Rainbow Activity

The tiny toddlers of MBS International School, Sector - 11, Dwarka celebrated 'Rainbow Colour Day' as a part of their curriculum on March 13 and 14, 2023. The key objective behind conducting this activity was to deliver the concept of “Rainbow Colours” to the children through engaging hands-on activities, which helped in enhancing their fine motor skills & boosted their ability of visual discrimination also.

As a part of learning, Nursery and Kindergarten students presented a wonderful handcraft in order to bring out the seven colours of the rainbow. Nursery students actively participated by engaging themselves in cotton dabbing on a rainbow, thus making their own rainbow with the help of a cotton and water colours. Kindergarten students were involved in melting VIBGYOR Gems in water to create a colourful effect of the rainbow. Overall, it was a memorable day for the little wonders as they participated enthusiastically in the activities and enjoyed learning about the rainbow colours and their respective order (VIBGYOR).

 

Artistic Expression

Encouraging a child to be creative using the material provided helps them learn beneficial ways to express themselves. It's about sharing the way we experience the world.

Free-hand drawing is a source of creativity and aesthetic sense among the children. It helps to engage the child for a longer time which leads to increased concentration level. Moreover, free-hand drawing improves observation skills like perception of size, spacing and proportion. It enables learners to express their ideas on paper. Keeping this in mind, MBS International School organized ‘Artistic Expressions’ activity for the students of Grade I and II on February 23 and 24, 2023. The colours on the drawing sheets brought happiness on the faces of pupils and their eyes brightened up with confidence.

The children were excited and drew their imagination with a lot of interest and enthusiasm. They chose the topic on their own like fruits, animals, scenery, festivals, trees, earth, etc. and demonstrated their vision of thoughts very efficiently. This activity assisted the students not only in thinking out of the box but also to express their creative ideas.

 

 

Our Feathered Friends

“In order to see birds, it is necessary to become a part of the silence.”

Birds are important members of many ecosystems. They are integral part of food chains. They use their beaks to grab and swallow food. To generate awareness about the birds, their appearance, habitat and way of living  the ‘Feathered Day’ was celebrated in MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka on February 20 and 21, 2023  by the students of Nursery and Kindergarten. It was a fun filled day for pupils as they enjoyed the activity of pasting dry leaves on bird’s nest and happily indulged themselves in pasting googly eyes on the bird provided to them in the form worksheets. To make the learning process more inclusive, children were given a take away of bird craft. Indeed, it was a cheerful experience for the students who actively participated in the activity and took pleasure in learning about the birds.

Mental Maths Quiz

Mental Math is an ability to calculate and get a correct answer without using pencil & paper or any other electronic devices. Many people often assume that learning mental arithmetic is merely a method to improve the speed and accuracy of calculations, but it also develops mental abilities like concentration, observation, visualization, imagination, and memory. In an effort to lay a strong foundation for Mathematics a ‘Mental Math Quiz’ was conducted on 9th & 10th February, 2023 for Classes I & II. It assessed the mathematical skills of the students with a varying degree of difficulty.

It was a wonderful experience to witness the students from all the sections of Grades I & II participating enthusiastically in the quiz. Each class was divided into groups. The aim was to encourage children to look beyond their textual knowledge and develop a good team spirit which was successfully achieved.

Fun Races

Children and sport– is a great combination. Playing sport helps children build healthy minds and bodies. It develops team spirit, friendships, and fair play, self-esteem and life skills. Sport also teaches children about how important it is to work hard, even if this doesn’t always mean winning. In our endeavour to ensure fun coupled with learning, MBS International School organised Fun Races for Grade- I on February 2, 2023 where Lemon and Spoon Race was planned for the students. It was a day filled with exhilaration, thrills and cheers.

All the students had fun while participating in the fun races.

Black & White Colour Day 

“If you want to make beautiful music, you must play the black and the white notes together”.

As a part of the Colour Day Celebration, MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka celebrated Black & White Colour Day on Monday, February 6, 2023. The objective of celebrating it was to help learners identify the colours, develop their fine motor skills and build connections to things around them. They were smartly dressed in black and white attires and were introduced to black and white colours using concrete objects. They were shown different objects such as white paper, black pen, white paint, black paint etc. with an objective to reinforce the recognition of both colours.

Children were asked to name a few black and white things that they had seen in the environment and their surroundings. They listened to the rhymes related to black and white shades. Furthermore, to enhance their speaking skills, they were given an opportunity to speak about objects and pictures pertaining to the colour. The students undertook hands on activities and showcased their creative talent enthusiastically. It was indeed a fun- filled learning day!

 

Creepy Crawlies

Creepy Crawlies Day was celebrated in MBS International School on January 30, 2023 by the students of Nursery and Kindergarten. They were acquainted with different kinds of insects like butterfly, beetles, ladybug, spider. To make the learning process more inclusive children of Nursery were given a Honeybee craft and also enjoyed the Finger Printing activity in ladybug worksheet. The students of kindergarten were involved in making Ladybug pencil stand. It was a fun and frolic day for the little ones. 

 

       Basant Panchami 

The festival of Basant Panchami, which marks the end of winter and the onset of spring. This day is considered to be the birthday of Goddess Saraswati, as she is said to have appeared on earth to eradicate the sadness of all living beings, through the gift of speech. This is why Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, music, art, science and technology is worshipped on this day.

M.B.S International School commemorated this special day with great fervor on January 24, 2023. Keeping the tradition of inculcating values in today’s modern times, the school organized Pooja to venerate Goddess Saraswati and invoke her blessings. The children devotionally rendered the “Saraswati Vandana” as they implored the goddess to bestow the gift of knowledge and wisdom on them.

On this auspicious occasion all the students were dressed in yellow-colored attires and offered floral prayers. The tiny-tots of Pre-Primary unfurled the ebullience of the day by depicting their artistic skills. On the other hand, the students of Grade I and II presented their rhetoric skills by speaking few lines on the occasion of Basant Panchami. Everyone enjoyed the day, enlightened by the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.

                              

                           

Brown Colour Day

Brown is a colour that evokes reliability, strength and helps us to relate with mother earth. It connects us with earth-friendly and natural substances. In order to infuse the same spirit, MBS International School celebrated Brown Colour Day on 18th January 2023 for the students of Nursery.

It was an enjoyable day where all the students as well as the teachers were dressed up in brown- colour attire. Children enjoyed making a brown-colour head gear. They learned about the colour in an engaging and interesting way. The teacher showed a presentation on brown colour. They were introduced to brown colour objects especially found in nature and their surrounding such as wood, soil, objects and dried leaves. They were excited to learn that brown colour could be obtained by mixing red and green colours.

These engaging activities were truly a great learning experience for them.

                               

Lohri Celebration

“Let the festival of harvest brightens each one of us life with
prosperity and success.”

As we are marking the end of winter solstice around India/Bharat, we celebrate this time as Makar Sankranti/Lohri in North India, Bihu in East India, Pongal in South India and Uttrayan in West India. Therefore, MBS International School decided to celebrate Lohri on 16 January 2023 in the school vicinity with euphoria and excitement. Lohri is the festival full of energy that incites a feeling of happiness and prosperity for all the people and is considered to be the new beginning of life with warmth and love. The school was decorated with colourful buntings and balloons to welcome children as it is their first day in school after winter break.

The harvest festival was introduced to children through a video, Handprint Campfire Craft and Card Making activity. Children enjoyed dancing on Dhol beats and bonfire. The happiness of celebrating the first festival of the year can be seen on the faces of the little ones.
MBS International School wishes that warmth of bonfire and sweetness of Gur and Rewri at Lohri will remain with everyone forever. Happy Lohri !

                             

                           

Christmas Celebration

Christmas is for joy, for giving and sharing, for laughter, for coming together with family and friends. It was surely the Christmas to be recalled at MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka on Friday, December 23,2022.

The school wore a festive look with bells, streamers and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree.

Several activities such as decorating Christmas Trees and Stockings, making Christmas Cards, Buggy Rides and Hand-Crafted Bells were organized for the young learners. The children were told about the birth of Lord Jesus and the legend of Santa Claus.

The spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated among the tiny tots. The essence of Christmas came alive when Santa Clause himself went into the classes.

The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved around distributing sweets to them.

The delightful celebration included children coming in red and white colour party dress, bringing their favourite food in lunch, dancing and sharing the merriment together.

Art is an expression of our thoughts, emotions and desires. It’s about sharing the way we experience the world.And when teaching involves fun filled art activities, students tend to learn the most. ‘Winter Season’ activity for the little hands was organized by MBS International School on Monday, December 5, 2022 for Pre-School and on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 for Pre- Primary classes respectively.

Besides Winter Season Activity teachers acquainted the children with Christmas festival as it is round the corner. This activity enhanced dexterity, fine motor skills and helped to boost the self-confidence of the children.

Children enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the activity in which their creative skills were fostered.

It was learning with fun for the children.

Learning about them was so much fun!

To reinforce the concept of beautiful flowers, an activity ‘‘Blooming Buds’’ was organised by the blossoming buds of the Pre-Primary wing on Tuesday, November 22,2022. at MBS International School, Sector – 11, Dwarka. Pre-Primary wing of the school was decorated with different flower cut – outs as well as real flowers. Children brought various kinds of flowers like Rose, Marigold, Jasmine, Sunflower and Hibiscus with them. The motive behind the activity was to expose them to the world of flowers. Teachers and children had an interactive conversation which was not only refreshing but also helped the children to distinguish between different flowers, their textures, colours, different parts and uses. Pre-schoolers made beautiful origami flowers and Pre-Primary children were taken for a nature walk.

 Indeed, the day was fun filled with loads of learning!

                                                         All About Vegetables

A jewel of health, hidden in a vegetable

To make the children understand the importance of vegetables in our diet MBS International School organized ‘Salad Making Activity’ for the students of Pre-primary and ‘Vegetable Impressions’ for Pre-School on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 respectively. Children enjoyed exploring different kinds of vegetables through these activities.

The Pre -Primary students engaged themselves enthusiastically in Salad Making activity. The little chefs looked adorable in their aprons and chef cap.

The tiny tots learnt how to make Celery-Print Flowers, Runner Bean-Print Leaves, Apple-Print Butterflies and a Pepper-Print Tree.  Adding on to this they were also happy to receive 3D vegetables as a take away craft.

It created a positive learning environment that provided our students with a fantastic experience which will be helpful to connect them to real-life experiences.

Purple is a colour that symbolizes compassion, creativity, dignity, royalty, magic and free spirit. Purple day was celebrated in MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 and Thursday, November 3, 2022 by the students of Pre-School and Pre-Primary.

It was a fun filled day where all the students as well as the teachers were dressed in ‘Purple Attire’ and brought different purple-coloured objects to share in the class.

The students were shown the magic when red and blue colours were mixed to create purple colour. They were also acquainted with different shades of purple.

To make the learning process more inclusive children of Pre-School were given a purple craft  as a take away. The students of Pre-Primary were involved in colouring the purple colour objects, given in the worksheet.

 It was a fun and frolic day for the little ones….

 

 

 

                             Orange Colour Day

“Orange combines the energy of Red and the happiness of Yellow. It is associated with joy and sunshine. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination and success.”

To teach the dynamic characteristics of Orange Colour to the students, MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka organized different activities on September 10 & 11, 2022 for the tiny-tots of Pre-School & Pre -Primary.

All the students and teachers came donned up in the different shades of orange and the classes were made vibrant with the beautiful orange background. Students were able to recognise orange fruit, juice, carrot and various orange-coloured objects. To provide sensory motor skills, the children made orange colour craft work, i.e., Carrot and Nemo Fish with hand impression. Eat Healthy and Stay Healthy

Food is an essential part of every human’s life. Giving proper and healthy food to their children is the most important responsibility of every parent. Healthy food which contains the right amount of nutrients should be consumed by every child on daily basis. In order to teach children about eating healthy food, MBS International School, Sector- 11, Dwarka organized Fruit Chaat Making Activity & My Healthy Lunchbox Activities on Monday, October 17,2022 for the tiny-tots of Pre - School & Pre - Primary. Students understood that eating junk food like burger, wafers, pizza which is full of preservatives leads to poor concentration. Children were given the 'Mantra of life'- Eat healthy, stay away from Junk Food, Do Exercise & Stay Fit.


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All About Transportation

Transportation is a general word for all the methods people use to move themselves and their goods from one place to another. In order to emphasize the importance of transportation, MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka conducted “All About Transportation Activity” for the Pre-School on September 19, 2022 and Pre-Primary students on September 20, 2022. Children learnt by playing with toys of transport. While the children enjoyed playing and sharing their transport toys in the classroom.
Pre-Primary students used Origami sheet to make the sail boat, car and an aeroplane. Students of Preschool made the paper boat with Origami sheet. Students were engaged thoroughly in the activity. The teachers contributed their share of valuable information with their students thus bringing an end to an interesting and fun filled class event.

No Bag Day

MBS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, DWARKA fosters an educational ecosystem where holistic learning is ensured through engaging activities. Keeping in mind this fact, the school celebrated ‘No Bag Day’ on Friday, March 17, 2023 for Classes Nursery to II.

In order to break the monotony, the students were set free from mental and physical burden of regular academic activities and they thoroughly enjoyed ‘No Bag Day’ with various planned activities.

The day commenced with a puppet show for Classes Nursery and Kindergarten children which was wonderfully presented by their class facilitators in school auditorium. Pupils were elated to watch the show along which brought smiles on their faces.

A beautiful ramp walk was conducted by Class I children on the topic ‘Incredible India’. They walked the stage dressed up in beautiful attires and used props. They also prepared a few lines on the topic and spoke confidently. The students of Class II performed various science experiments based on different concepts such as air, acid and base, etc. and enjoyed outdoor games as well.

It was an effort of MBS International School to make education a fun activity and promote the right attitude through interactive and child-centered teaching techniques. Overall, it was a wonderful event enjoyed by all.

English Extempore

“The power of speech is the ability to express a lot in a few words.”

Extempore is a great way to promote spontaneous thinking in learners. It enhances the oratory skills in the children and prepares them for public speaking on the spot with confidence.

 To inspire the true spirit of learning and to enhance their communication skills MBS International school organized ‘English Extempore Activity’ for the students of Grades I and II on February 16 & 17, 2023. The students got an opportunity to hand-pick the chit and speak on the topic written on it.

Truly, the way in which they performed sanguinely and expressed their views on the given topics without any prior preparation, was indeed an astounding accomplishment. This activity assisted the students not only in thinking on their own but also in voicing their creative ideas with precision and in a crisp manner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Story Narration Activity

“The greatest art in the world is the art of storytelling”.

Storytelling brings language learning alive and creates a participatory and immersive experience that allows Young Learners to enjoy hearing the language in a dynamic and sometimes in stylistic and entertaining way.

To keep the tradition going and to incite curiosity and love for reading in children, MBS International school conducted a ‘story-telling’ activity on February 13, 2023 and February 14, 2023 for the students of Pre- School and Pre - Primary. 

The young vibrant storytellers came forth with wonderful tales. Some of them were dressed up as characters and presented their story with the use of facial expressions and voice modulation. While some stories provided food for thought and some reinforced moral values. The oratory and presentation skills of tiny tots were outstanding

Developing communication skills and expanding the realm of their imagination was the main objective of the activity. The teachers applauded all the participants for their efforts and presentation.

 Overall, it was a great learning experience which was thoroughly enjoyed by the young learners.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Paper Bag Activity

Take a pledge and do your bit for our environment. Avoid plastics and adopt Paper Bags.

To boost creative and inventive skills in the students of Grade III- V, a Paper Bag Making Activity was conducted on February 8, 2023. The activity was conducted to make the students aware about the threat caused by the plastic bags to the environment. The students were guided how to make the paper bags out of old newspapers. Making beautiful paper bags with old newspapers in different shapes and sizes proved to be a simple yet intriguing activity

The fun-filled activity inspired young MBsians to contribute to Mother Nature by using paper bags and saying no to plastic bags. By and large, students showcased their creativity and artistic skills by making attractive paper bags and decorating them vibrantly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tri Colour Craft

“Creativity is intelligence having fun.”

Art allows kids to develop their creativity which is important throughout their lives. While doing something creative, you allow for self-expression and this lets students to express their feelings. It also fosters mental growth in students by providing opportunities for trying out new ideas, new ways of thinking and problem-solving. Keeping this objective in mind MBS International School conducted a “Card Making Activity” on the theme ‘Republic Day’ for the students of Grade I and II on January 27, 2023. Students came prepared with the instructed material and made beautiful Republic Day Cards.

The activity was above par, and the teachers’ updated students about Republic Day. Students also shared their experiences and understood the contribution of the soldiers in keeping the country safe.

 

 

 

Kite Making Activity

MBS International School conducted a Kite Making Activity for the students of Grades - I and II on January 20, 2023 to celebrate Makar Sankranti. Students were aprised about Makar Sankranti, a harvest festival that marks the arrival of spring. The festival symbolizes the beginning of the auspicious period of Uttarayan.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to showcase their creativity that left the onlookers astounded. The students unleashed their creativity in the form of beautiful vibrant kites made by them of different shapes, colors and sizes. Every child presented a unique piece of art. On the whole, the activity was full of colors and innovative thoughts. 

 

 

 

 

                                                                       

Shades of Brown

The appeal of colour is universal. It plays a vital role in our lives and how we respond to our surroundings. The colours you surround yourself with, can influence your perspective and emotions as well as those around you. It is a source of pleasure to everybody. One can access the value of colour in three ways in light, vision and pigment. To have those values in the children of MBS International School, students of KG were introduced with Shades of Brown on 19th January 2023.

Shades of Brown give us a sense of strength and reliability. Children were dressed up in brown colour attire and were shown a presentation on the things and animals they see brown in colour. They were apprised about colour mixing and creating different shades of brown. Hands- on experiences were given via Fork printing activity where children made a Bear face with forks and brown colour. They also brought brown- colour objects from home and shared few lines about it.

By engaging students in hands-on experiences and reflection, they were able to connect theory and knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world situations.

 

 

Children's Day

Children are innocent, children are mischievous, but children can bring a smile to one's face.Thus, Children's Day is celebrated to commemorate the healthy growth and happiness of children.

MBS International School celebrated Children’s Day on Monday, November 14, 2022.

The teachers took the stage and celebrated it with excitement and vigour. The teachers put up a great show which included music and dance performances specially for the children.

The children were very excited and felt amused.

Book Talk

                “The reading of all good books is like a conversation with the finest minds

                   of past centuries.” – René Descartes

Book talks are more fun for students than traditional book reports. It gives students the chance to practice their speaking skills and helps them to create visual notes for their talks. To develop an interest in reading, MBS International School conducted the Book Talk Activity -My Favourite Book for the students of Grades IV & V on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

The students talked about the Book’s title, Author, and Genre of the book. They also mentioned whether it is adventure, mystery, fantasy, realism, humour, science fiction, etc. A brief outline of the story was described by them. Students also spoke about the main characters, setting, and the central conflict in the story very briefly.

This activity really proved as a great way to instil the love and desire for reading in our learners and the way to express their ideas, and feelings through spoken words and gestures. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ramayana Character Enact

“Those who have knowledge of dharma said that truth is the highest dharma!”

These words echoed in the classrooms of Grade III of MBS International School as students enacted different Characters from Ramayana with full enthusiasm. Students illustrated the main scenes and characters of this Great Epic; they spoke slogans of characters with full enthusiasm using different props. They described the invaluable life lessons that we learn from the great epic Ramayana. 

Teachers apprised them about the significance of Ramayana and the characters like lord Rama, Ravana, Mata Sita, etc. They enjoyed the activity thoroughly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Diwali

The Pre-Primary wing of MBS International School wore a festive look as little ones celebrated the Festival of Lights – Diwali on October 21, 2022.

Dressed in vibrant traditional outfits, children enjoyed decorating diyas and making lanterns. Classrooms were decorated with beautiful hangings and colourful rangoli. Our Respected Principal Sir appreciated the efforts taken by the tiny tots and wished our little ones to have a safe and Eco-friendly Diwali. Children confidently spoke about the significance the of festival.

Hindi Kavita Vaachan- PrePrimary

To instil a love for this and to develop recitation skills among our little ones, MBS International School has organised an intra-class ‘Hindi Rhyme Recitation Competition’ for the Pre-School students from Monday, September 12, 2022 to Thursday, September 15, 2022.
Poem recitation is an art of expression and helps in expanding the vocabulary of the little ones. It enables the students to explore inner talents and also builds confidence. This was the aim behind conducting the Hindi Rhyme Recitation Competition for the students of Nursery and Pre-primary. The children were flawless, full of confidence and poise. The props added greatly to enhance the performance of the students.
As we know recitation is an art and can be a lot of fun. Keeping the various aspects of poetry in view, the participants came up with their poems. The recital excelled in rhythm, mood, diction and expressions. The victors were applauded and praised for their capability by our judges and dignitaries.
It was a splendid event for Primary Wing that lulled the innocent hearts of the toddlers.

Making Storage Box

“Creativity is making marvellous out of discarded”
Eco Club of MBS International School conducted the Best Out Of Waste (Making Storage Box) Activity on August 3 ,2022. Little hands and imaginative minds came together in a creative burst of energy exhibited during the “Best Out of Waste Activity”.
We teachers aim to bring the students to understand the importance of preserving the environment and learn more about sustainability. We should not throw away waste things, we could use them again for different purposes and that we should not cause harm to nature. In order to make children aware of uses of waste material, the activity was organised for students.| Students prepared very creative and innovative models and art items from different waste materials. They used reusable and recyclable materials like news papers, bottles, bangles, ice cream sticks and much more. From these items, they created an amazing array of display objects leaving everyone totally impressed. The values like preservation, recycling, conservation, reduce, reuse, etc. are imbibed on the young heart and minds by demonstrating this noble act of caring for our environment.

Open the Knots

Whenever you want to achieve something, keep your eyes open, concentrate and make sure you know exactly what it is you want. “Focus on your goal …Not your fear”.
To develop the concentration and focus in the life of students, schools conduct different activities.Keeping this in view MBS International School organized Inter House Sports Competition "Open the Knots" for the students of Grade I, II and III. This joyous activity helped the students develop fine motor skills. Through this, the students learnt about how to concentrate and focus to solve the problems. Students were provided with the knotted ropes. They were divided in groups for the competition. Each group was provided with one rope with knots, tied by the teacher. They were being told that whosoever will open the knots quickly among all will be observed by the teachers and the performance will be ranked accordingly. Each group demonstrated the zeal and participated very curiously in the competition. Everyone’s participation was monitored very closely and ensured that they were able to grasp the concept of activity very clearly.
As students improve their fine motor skills they develop their independence in doing a range of tasks. While they tugged and pulled the knot they used the skills such as eye-hand coordination to pull at the correct place in the knot in order to untie. The amusement and laughter of the students was the proof of the joy and fun they experienced during the competition. Three winners were selected from each section and were appreciated by the teacher.
 

 

Green Colour Day/ Shades of Green

“Green is the most common colour in the natural world, think of nature and see, green in all its glory expressing renewal and life. Green is said to have healing power and is understood to be the most relaxing and restful colour for human eyes. Green colour is associated with growth, safety and nature. It is one of the secondary colours.”
In order to teach our children about such uses of colours in their immediate environment and to help them to develop an understanding of green colour in many forms, MBS International School, Sector 11, Dwarka organized different activities on Friday, 2nd September, 2022 for the tiny-tots of Nursery & Pre Primary.
All the students and teachers came donned up in the different shades of green and the classes were made vibrant with the beautiful green backgrounds. Students were taught identification and recognition of green vegetables, leaves, trees and various green objects. To provide Sensory motor skills, the children were given green colour craft work i.e. Frog with Paper folding. Children took part with great enthusiasm in craft activities related to green colour like Caterpillar Creation Activity with help of small green circles. They displayed their creative skills using their tiny magical fingers. Children participated well and learnt about green colour with keen interest.

 

FRUIT MART ACTIVITY

“Have fruits if you want to lead a fruitful life”  

In MBS International School, Teachers had set up their own Fruit Mart on August 29,  2022 for the students of Pre-School and on August 30, 2022 for the students of Pre- Primary which was displayed in a creative way.  
 Children had a fun filled experience of selling and buying fruits from the fruit vendor  (teacher). They were excited using the weighing scale. The enriching experience gave  the students an opportunity to showcase not only their proficiency in handling money  but also to display their marketing skills.  
The activity also created awareness about the importance of consumption of fruits in  regular diet. Event was used to reinforce the concept of the healthy benefits of fruits.  The tiny tots also learned more about the taste, smell, colour and texture of each fruit  and vegetable. Children were made to understand the gravity of washing the fruits  before eating and eating fresh fruits. Children also enjoyed colouring in Fruit Basket.  Children participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. They exhibited their talent. It  helped them in exploring new ideas, creativity as well as a sense of colours.  
It created a positive learning environment which provided our students an amazing  experience which will be helpful to connect it to the real-life experience.

JANMASHTHAMI CELEBRATIONS - IV B

A special assembly on ‘Janmashtami’ was presented by the students of Grade IV B on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

The assembly started with prayer to the Lord asking him to walk with us and guide us through the thick and thin. The students presented a beautiful thought that inspired all to do good deeds in life. Through the teachings of Lord Krishna, the young learners were enthused to do well to others followed by Group song, Krishna Bhajan and dance performance.

The students were pleased to know about the various kinds of celebrations done on the occasion of Janmashtami all over India. They also learnt about the significance of Janmashtami. The students’ enthusiasm and excitement shone brightly as they understood that the sole reason for celebrating this festival is bringing people together so that principles of unity are strengthen.

The day’s celebration ended with the message that “A friend in need is a friend indeed” and “sharing is caring”.

 

 

 

 

JANMASHTHAMI CELEBRATIONS -Pre Primary

“Creation is only the projection into form of that which already exists”-Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita.

Sweeter than honey ,tastier than curd,pleasanter indeed than any happiness and joy is the company is the power of the name of Krishna.

The birthday of lord Krishna was celebrated by our students of MBS International School with great devotion and enthusiasm on this 17th of August 2022 the .Children came dressed in ethnic wear as Radha Krishna they gave a mythological touch to the entire celebration.The day started with the prayer which was followed by the dramatisation of Lord Krishna’s birth .Story narration on lord Krishna was carried out by the teachers of the pre-primary section.Children danced on the song of “Natkhat gopal“and they made their own headgears “Krishna’s Crown”.They looked adorable in their self designed headgears with peacock feathers.It was a fun-filled edutaining morning. The day is celebrated with great zeal and devotion.

Celebration like these teach our students the rich mythological history of our country as they learn to respect and value all religions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

RAINY SEASON

Rainy season is always a fun time for the kids if it is celebrated in the school. Moreover it makes the school environment mesmerizing for the tiny tots. An activity of ‘Rainy Season’ for the little hands was organised by MBS International School on 1st August 2022 Monday for Preschoolers and 2nd August 2022 Tuesday for Pre-primary students respectively.

The students of pre- primary used origami sheet to showcase their creativity in making a paper boat. Students were completely engrossed in the activity. Teacher enrich their vocabulary by telling them new words like gumboots, raincoat, umbrella etc. The students of preschool made a paper umbrella with an ice cream stick. Students enjoyed the activity and were encouraged to talk about Rainy Season.

Children enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the activity in which their creative skills were fostered. It was learning with fun for the children.

 

 

ANIMAL WORLD

Although perceived as a mere fun activity, fancy dress is of great benefit to children especially for children that are in the foundation years for building their imagination and vocabulary.
Fancy dress is more than just physically wearing a costume. When “in character”, children learn to role play. They learn to imitate the mannerisms of the character or object they’re dressed up as, and, may even create their own special traits and themes, which encourages children to ‘think outside the box,’ practice different emotions, and use their language skills to communicate.
The Pre-primary section of MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka conducted a fancy-dress activity on Monday, July 25,2022 and Tuesday, July 26,2022. on the theme ‘Animal World’.
The children were encouraged to introduce themselves and say a few sentences explaining why they chose to dress up as a particular animal. The children did a phenomenal job at the event! They were enthusiastic about dressing up for the event. The children amused us with their creativity, speech, memory and boundless imagination shown in their dress and narration. SELF INTRODUCTION

At MBS International School, we believe in learning by doing. To foster this in our students, MBS International School organised an activity “Self -Introduction” for Preschool and Pre-primary on Monday, July 11,2022& Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
Children expressed themselves in the class and freely shared their thoughts. They shared several things about themselves like hobbies, favourite cartoon, favourite game, favourite colour etc. They used props to heighten the effect of their conversation. The activity brought everyone closer. Teachers also explored their students. The activity was a great learning experience for students as they get a platform to express themselves and recognise their peer groups. The teacher applauded all the participants for their efforts and presentation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SHADES OF YELLOW

“Shades of yellow stimulates our little ones with happiness, energy and optimism…….”

With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the vitality of yellow colour and to explore it’s different shades, the Primary wing of MBS International School,Sector-11,Dwarka celebrated “Yellow day” on Monday, July 18,2022 and Tuesday, July 19,2022.

The motive of celebrating this yellow colour day was to make the children aware of yellow colour, its significance and to develop fine motor skills in the students.

A day dedicated to the yellow colour was marked with children dressed in different hues and tints of yellow. Children were not only beautifully dressed in their favourite yellow dresses but also brought yellow objects to make it a complete “Yellow Day”!

Attractive yellow coloured toys like racing cars, teddy bears, dolls, balls, balloons, flying discs, flowers and masks made the learning environment active and sporty.

Focusing on the theme the teachers planned  activities and their art work was displayed on the soft boards. The bulletin boards were reverberated with quotes, appealing posters of minions, Tweety, honey bees and sunflowers highlighting the essence of yellow colour. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MAGIC SHOW

“Magic is the stunning art of surprising your audience, so that nothing else surprises them.”- Amit Kalantri” 

The “MAGIC SHOW” was organised by MBS International School for the students of Pre-School to Grade 1 on July, 15 2022 to fill some fun and joy in the young minds. The show was conducted by the magician. He performed many tricks and created illusions that made children and teachers watch him bewitchingly. The magic wand, magic spells and the interesting and distinctive style of magician kept everybody astounded. Children were amazed to chant magic spells. Showing some exciting tricks and making them disappear was another feature that impressed  everyone. All of students entrancingly kept clapping as he unfolded the magic tricks one by one. The show was a great success and children enjoyed it to the great extent 

 

 

 

 

 

SUMMER FUN

“Everything good, everything magical happens during the summer season.” 

Children love to learn about the world around them, hence with an objective to recapitulate and reinforce summer season the Pre-Primary wing of MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka celebrated “Summer Fun” on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. 

They were shown different pictures and flashcards related to the summer season. Students shared how they have spent their summer vacation. Pre Primary students were taught to make lemonade. To make the activity more inclusive for our Preschool and Preprimary students, a few fun activities were organised. Pre Primary students enjoyed tearing and pasting in the picture of an ice cream and Pre School students rejoiced fingerprinting on the same.

 It was a fun-filled session wherein students enjoyed a healthy lemonade drink. Session was thoroughly refreshing and students had a whale of the time. 

 

 

 

 

 

EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS

The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.  Every year on April 22, Earth Day, is celebrated all over the world to appreciate the uniqueness of our planet Earth, while at the same time, educating ourselves about what we have and what we are losing by acting in ways that aren’t environmentally friendly. The day also reminds us that we need to take action now to protect our environment before it’s too late.

On this occasion, the children of Pre-Primary wing of MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka zealously started with a Tree Plantation Drive. Through this awareness drive the children are to be engaged in maintaining the tree saplings through the year. This will ensure that every student is an environmental and climate literate citizen, ready to take action and be a voice for change.

Students were told about the importance of trees and recycling. The aim was to sensitise the students about how valuable trees are. The children took turns to speak a few lines conveying the message of keeping our surroundings clean and in turn taking care of the Mother Earth. The extensive events organised went a long way in introducing and orienting the young minds to develop a continuing compassion for Mother Earth and thus making a difference.

 

 

BEST OUT OF WASTE

Little hands and imagination minds came together in a creative burst of energy during the “Best out of waste” activity held on Monday, April 18,2022 & Tuesday, April 19,2022. for the Pre-Primary wing.

We at MBS International School, Sector-11, Dwarka aim to make children understand the importance of preserving the environment and learn more about sustainability. We should not throw away waste things, we could use them again for different purposes and that we should not cause harm to nature.

Students of Preschool and Pre-Primary used reusable and recyclable materials like newspapers and plastic bottles to make paper bags and flower pots respectively.

The values like preservation, recycling, conservation, reduce, reuse etc are imbibed on the young heart and minds by demonstrating this noble act of caring our environment.

 

SASH AND CROWN MAKING ACTIVITY 

One of the core things we can all agree on is, that developing self-confidence in a child is very important. Building self-confidence in children allows them to be brave and reach out to try new things in life. In order to help children, build a strong sense of identity, an activity was conducted for all our Pre-School and Pre-Primary children on

Monday, April 11,2022 & Tuesday, April 12,2022. Children were engaged in conversation which made them feel special. They were involved in crown making activity and sash making activity, during the creative expression time and wore it like prince & princesses throughout the day. With different activities conducted at MBS International School, children are discovering more about themselves & their world. Singing and dancing to the wonderful song, leaving all the inhibitions aside the pre-primary children of MBS International School sector-11, Dwarka started their new session with pomp and excitement. The teacher greeted their students with beautiful hand puppet, which was enjoyed by the class. The class was filled with giggles and laughter.
 All interactions a teacher has with children can influence how they learn, grow and feel about themselves.  Hence, this activity was specially curated in a manner where teacher-child interactions focused on building a foundation of trust, empathy, connectedness, and school readiness. Children created their first -hand impression to mark the beginning of this special journey of learning and fun. Candies and balloons were distributed to the children.

“Travel opens your heart, broadens your mind and fills your life with stories to tell.”

Life in times of corona virus means a halt on travel. However, a virtual trip to another country can spark intense student interest as well as nurture various skills. We all know trips and tours are important for interactive and new learning, social interaction and exposure. So, to eradicate boredom and enhance knowledge while comfortably sitting at home, MBS International School, Dwarka organised “Chalte Chalte French”, a 3-day virtual excursion with Memory Makers to France for the students of grades V-VIII. The educational virtual excursion allowed the students to have 360-degree view of the Persian street & famous museums of France, explore markets, travel through different modes of transport, witness the incredible works of art from the Contemporary Eras. The children visited Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Eurodisney and took a walk alongside the Seine river. The various artifacts on art and culture enhanced the knowledge about Art, History, Geography and Science. 
Going on a school tour is an important part of learning. “Chalte Chalte French” made the language come alive, wherein the students got the wonderful opportunity to enhance their vocabulary and learn correct pronunciation of the words in French. Learning about the culture of France gave another dimension to language learning. MBS International School, yet again fulfilled its vision and philosophy which believes in opening global gateways and inspires students to explore beyond their national borders.

Musical chair is an interactive & relaxing game, through which children can learn to be patient, to work in coordination. With the students of pre-primary the game was played to make them revise the concept of subtraction. Music was played as the children walked around the circle. Identification of colours helps to create the thinking between visual clues and words which is an important part of a child's holistic development. Children interact with their neighbourhood and are greatly affected by them. Knowing all about our surrounding is very important, not only for our knowledge but for safety purposes too. Hence, our pre-primary children participated in ‘Neighbourhood places’ activity on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. The aim was to understand the places children go in their neighbourhood. A layout was created  in the school premises where through map reading they located different places they visit in the neighbourhood, like school, park, shopping mall, fire station etc. Students were very thrilled to move around to locate different places. Later the recapitulation was done with a small exercise in the class where they marked the places they visited.

Children were accompanied by their respective class teacher to the school grounds where a small bonfire was lit for Lohri Celebration. Popcorn , revari , groundnuts  were handed out to the great delight of the children. They also observed kite flying by one of our sports teacher to mark the celebration of Makar Sankrati. The surrounding was beaming with the sound of their cheering and laughter.

In order to lead a healthy life, it is our responsibility to create a cleaner environment. As we all understand the damage caused by usage of plastic, the little green crusader of our pre-primary wing took out a ‘Say No to Plastic’ Road Show (rally) on November 28, 2019. Holding banners with slogans that dissuaded the use of plastic, the surroundings echoed with the chanting of slogans – Say no to Plastic.
It was fascinating to see these little bundles of energy who created an impactful sight, strongly delivered the message.

The tradition of Halloween started in the European countries during ancient times when the last evening of summer was celebrated as the day when people lit fires and dressed as ghosts believing that this would ward off evil spirits. MBS International School having a global approach celebrates international festivals with as much fervour as the Indian festivals which helps in fostering the feeling of universal brotherhood among children. Students of preschool and preprimary celebrated Halloween on October 31, 2019. They all came dressed up in Halloween costumes such as superheroes, fairies, witches and other interesting characters and went to different classes for playing trick and treat. Activity area was decorated in accordance with the theme. The day celebrated to mark the welcoming of good spirits and driving away of the bad spirits. There were very happy excited faces everywhere as children posed for photographs.

To build their creative and aesthetic senses, they also participated in a group activity of creating a flower using marigold leaves. The tiny tots of MBS international school celebrated Dussehra, the festival of victory of good over evil, on October 4, 2019 in the school auditorium with great fervor and devotion. To instill the teachings of victory of good over evil children watched the dramatization/adaptation of Ramayan by the teachers of pre primary wing. The primary objective of the entire show was to make the students understand that no matter how intelligent a person is, his pride could be the reason of his collapse. They were also told about Ravana’s ten heads which are symbolic of his great wisdom. The celebration was to mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil and truth and dharma always wins in the end. Children were given a special take away craft to cherish this special day on their way back to home. Everyone seemed to be in a state of absolute bliss. The effigy of Ravana was also burnt to depict the victory of good over evil.

The auspicious and one of the most popular Indian festival Dussehra, which signifies victory of good over evil was celebrated by organising a Dussehra Craft Activity for the students of class I and II on October 1,2019. The man whose very name has become synonymous with peace, truth, equality and harmony. Children dressed up as the famous three wise monkeys and spread the message of –say no evil, hear no evil and see no evil. The corridors of our school resonated with the slogan-‘ vande mataram’. They also sang Gandhi ji’s favourite bhajan raghupati ragav raja ram.

Green Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in the Pre Primary Wing on 11th September, 2019. The Preprimay & preschool students and teachers came to school dressed in pretty green attires and looked eco friendly.  The classrooms were beautifully decorated in green theme and all the green objects from a child’s immediate surroundings were brought to the class rooms. Many activities and games pertaining to green color were organized for the kids. Children brought green objects.
Bubbling with enthusiasm in their astonishing green costumes the little ones created a pleasant, harmonious and refreshing aura. The shades of green filled the air with freshness, thrill, ecstasy and bliss. It also prompted them to think how green colour energizes and revitalizes our lives. The National Sports Day is celebrated throughout India on 29 August, every year. This day marks the birthday of Dhyan Chand, a legendary hockey player who brought glory to the nation by winning three Olympic gold medals. This day highlights the need for sports and development of children in aspects beyond the classroom. Sports/play time is a significant aspect of a child’s life. Children need to be encouraged to play as much as possible, rather than spending time with smart devices. Children from preschool & preprimary classes participated in different fun filled races. The entire event turns out to be an amazing experience for the students, this event works as a medium to channelize the abundant energy in the right direction and help children discover their interests in outdoor activities. MBS International School conducted Wellness Week to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to all the students. The week featured a variety of activities to help students practice new ways to take care of themselves. Yoga session was conducted on 28th August 2019. Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that needs to be carried everyday. Children got the chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind, body and soul. Students performed different yoga Asanas which helped in reducing stress, enhancing their mood and overall sense of well-being. Finally the session ended with Surya namaskar, Pranayama and meditation.

Good table manners are important tools for social interaction that will serve them for the rest of their lives. Teaching children proper etiquette at mealtimes will help them learn to be polite and respectful. 
A restaurant set was created in the school’s activity room to impart a real life experience of visiting a restaurant and using proper silverware for lunch /dinner.They were greeted by the guard and escorted by the restaurant manager to their table. As they were the special guest of the restaurant, the chef too welcomed them into the restaurant. Children learned the usage of different silverware and mannerism of using them while eating. It was an exhilarating and good learning experience for our children.

Girls selected rakhis from the rakhi stall set up and tied it on the wrist of their brothers in school. They created a rainy day scene in their art files by pasting cotton in the clouds, tearing and pasting in umbrella and creating raindrops with their finger impressions. The teachers showed a video on rainy season which included sound of thunderstorm, rain pouring, frog’s croak etc.Celebration of Rainy day makes the school environment light and mesmerizing for these unadulterated souls. Even the shyest student too will be friendly with everybody in such convenient and child-centered learning environment. Coming out of classroom education, Pre-Primary students of MBS International School, Dwarka were taken for an excursion to Reliance Mart on 29th July 2019. The visit was made as a reinforcement of the theme ‘Fruits & Vegetables’.They were mesmerized as they experienced the nature’s bounty and successfully identified some exotic fruits and vegetables.It was demonstrated to them how things are bought, billed and paid for.  It was a fun learning experience for each child. The trip was enjoyable and the children came back to school with fond memories of the departmental stores. They also enjoyed chocolates which were given by the staff of Reliance Fresh.

“A Healthy Body means a Healthy Life.
In order to encourage healthy eating habit, MBS International School organised sprout salad and Lemonade making  activity on July 10,2019 for the students of Grade I & II. Children brought sprouts with chopped onion, cucumber and tomato and prepared the salad by sprinkling chaat masala in it.The children were also demonstrated how to prepare “Lemonade” by stirring sugar in the water and then squeezing lemon into it. To enhance the taste, shikanji masala was also added into it. Later on, this instant and healthy salad and lemonade was relished by all the children. It gave the students a hands-on experience of making a glass of lemonade and salad. The idea behind this activity was to make the little ones understand the importance of drinking natural drinks in summers rather than artificial beverages available in the market .

Ice cream is loved by everyone be it be any age group. It was a closing party theme for our kindergartners.

Therefore, to make the last working day before summer vacation not only enjoyable but memorable, we at MBS International School organized an Ice cream Party.

Children of preschool and preprimary participated in a lot of fun filled activities throughout the day. They all decorated the ice cream cut out, played fun filled game - Toss the ball in the hole, at photo booth corner they got themselves clicked and also enjoyed at the ice cream station.
Best way to end the day was having an ice cream, taking it directly from the ice cream seller. The Ice cream seller with his Ice cream cart was stationed in school to make the day more enjoyable.

Colouring plays an important role in child’s development. MBS International School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti to commemorate birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation-Mahatma Gandhi. Our little MBSians celebrated Bapu’s birthday in school a day prior to, on 1st October,2018 with great zeal & enthusiasm. 
The children were shown a movie on the life of “Bapu”. They were also told that the United Nations also celebrates October 2 as the International Day of non-violence to honour Gandhiji’s belief in peace & non-violence. The tiny-tots of MBS were encouraged to think about the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, analyze the importance & to understand the value of freedom.
Back in the class the children were acquainted with Gandhiji’s image again and the day closed with Gandhiji’s favourite song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” resonating in the air.

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul” Dance is a wonderful way to introduce young children to the world’s rich diversity and enable them to teach the enjoyment of dance, music, and rhythm. It also provides opportunities for socialization, essence of teamwork and room for self expression. It improves self esteem. With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, an Inter class Dance Competition was organized by MBS International School, Dwarka for students of classes I to III in the school auditorium on 19 Sept. 2018 The theme of the competition was ‘Songs for Children’ for grade one ‘Folk Songs’ for grade two and ‘Hip Hop’ for grade three. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The fun filled extravaganza offered different dance forms .The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young MBSians as they enthralled everyone with their performances. All the classes performed wonderfully with great zeal and enthusiasm. The audience enjoyed every moment of the programme. The spectators highly complimented the efforts put in by all the participants. Through dance the children explored their ability to dance. In the closely contested competition, Grade I-A, Grade II-D, Grade III-A claimed 1st position, Grade I-B, II-A, III-B won 2nd position. It was indeed a spectacular show and a memorable one too.

The English Rhyme Recitation competition of nursery and kindergarten students was held on August 29, 2018 at MBS International School. Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of the abiding and immaculate bond of love between brother and sister. Raksha Bandhan celebration was celebrated for the tiny tots of MBS International School on August 25, 2018 (Friday). The teacher explained the significance of the festival in their respected classes while the excited girls tied the auspicious thread (Rakhi) around wrist of the boys who gave sweets and chocolates in exchange. The message of love and affection was spread in the air. The school not only succeeded in catalyzing the feeling of love, care, and affection but also taught students about our rituals and tradition.

Character Dramatization Competition on theme cartoon character was held for the students of preprimary of MBS International School on August 2, 2018. A mesmerizing ‘Character Dramatization Activity’ was organized for the student of grade I,II and III. Blue – the colour of loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust had a very positive impact on tiny tots bringing in harmony and brotherhood. 

Little tiny tots of nursery of MBS International School celebrated blue colour day on July 13, 2018. The significance of blue colour was reiterated through a series of activities.

Teachers and students were dressed in different shades and hues of blue colour.

Students actively participated in interesting theme-based games. Blue Colour, which is a symbol of life, was explained to the little ones in a play way manner. Everything from the costumes of students to objects placed in the room was in blue.

Children enjoyed the activity with immense enthusiasm and zeal.

Water play is an inevitable part of pre-school curriculum as it helps in gross motor development, eye hand co-ordination and also helps in vocabulary development.

The little ones of Pre-primary of MBS International School in May, 2018, welcomed the showers of rain with their first pool activity. Bubbling with excitement and enthusiasm, in their colorful swim suits the children thoroughly enjoyed the splash pool activity, jumping in the water, splashing water at their friends and playing with floating toys.

This is a great activity to indulge in, as it helps to strengthen the child’s body balance, muscle strength, coordination, and boosts social growth as children get an opportunity to interact with one another in fun.

Music and Dance binds soul,hearts, emotions and relaxes the mind.

Cultural bonanza- a music & dance fest was a confluence of talent , confidence and gait which invited massive participation students.

The fest began with Solo Dance Contestents who enthralled the audience with their well choreographed performances themed on classical celebration of culture, where solo-singing competition was a treat to the ears, as melodious reverberations of our budding singers echoed in the portals of the school. The mellifluous tones of Indian and western songs were truly motivational and inspiring .

The solo instrumental competition was musical extravaganza of talent and creativity as our young maestros played string as well as percussion instruments with ease and perfection. They were highly appreciated for their tunes and beats on keyboard, guitar,congo, harmonium ,table and drums.

The fest was indeed a display of talent, creativity and originality .

A school is an institution designed to provide learning spaces and learning environments for teaching of students under the direction of teachers.In order to make children familiar with their school campus,the young MBSians of kindergarten were taken for campus visit.They were shown the school library to develop love for books from an early age.A seprate indoor play area provides a safe atmosphere for our young students.Educational toys,puzzles,blocks are kept are kept for the children to enjoy their kindergarten years and to develop their potential through play way method.A multipurpose auditorium with wireless connection which is used for all major school functions were shown to the children.Last but not the Least they were taken to the school wellness zone where students undergo a regular medical check-ups and a health record is maintained for each child.

In the busyness of everyday life, it is important that we take the time to nurture ourselves and those around us. Celebrating health and wellness is not just about one day or one week. Wellness Week is about showcasing schools’ accomplishments in creating health promoting environments throughout the year. MBS International School Celebrated Wellness Week- a wide initiative to focus on student health and wellness. Healthy students learn better! This week we focused on mental health, nutrition, and physical activity. Be prepared to de-stress, breathe, eat your fruits and veggies, and move your body. Feel good and live well during Wellness Week and every day! There was different activity for each grade. Students of grade I shared their views about their favorite fruits and vegetables in Public Speaking Activity, striking to the habit of healthy eating. Students of grade II were shown a presentation on Food and Nutrition and a quiz session was also organized for them in which they participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. Students of grade III made and presented healthy salads. Students of grade IV excitedly wrote slogans to promote good health. Students of grade V were enthralled to make healthy and refreshing mock tails. These activities helped students to exhibit their culinary skills and also inculcated the spirit of healthy eating and sharing.

MBS International School, association with Dental Vison organized a free dental check-up and awareness camp in the school premises.

Dr. Pankaj Pahwa and Dr. Anjali Pahwa carried out a comprehensive dental check-up of our little MBSIANS.

The camp included dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and measures to prevent them.  The students were told about proper brushing techniques, the eating patterns and food choice which cause tooth decay.

On completion of the dental checkup students were provided a patent card, a report summary of the diagnosed problem and recommended dental development plan.

Keeping this view in mind, MBS International School organized a talk on “TIME AND STRESS MANAGEMENT” by Dr. Rajeshwari Malik on 11th April’2018 for classes IX & X. The main aim of the workshop was to teach children the importance of time management and how that helps in reducing stress. Children were explained about the different issues they would face if they don’t manage their time effectively. Tips for managing time were explained to the children like how setting of goals is important for them but these goals shouldn’t be vague. Overall the session was very interactive and knowledgable for the children.

Now - a- days everybody is concerned more about their physical wellbeing and therefore tend to neglect their emotional and mental wellbeing which in turn may lead to some serious mental health issues for children. Keeping this in mind Ms. NIKITA KATHURIA, Counselor MBS International School conducted a workshop for students of classes VII & VIII on the topic mental and emotional wellbeing. The main aim of the workshop was to make the children understand the importance of keeping good emotional and mental health. The workshop began with an activity, based on a situation to express and identify the reaction of the child. The activity analyzed their reaction and the emotions they exhibit to the situation and its repercussions on them. The workshop focused on the idea that when your mind is frazzled and stressed, and your emotions are taking over your thoughts and affecting your everyday activities, it’s time to take a step back, take a deep breath and relax. Their happiness goes a long way in protecting their overall wellbeing. Mental health is a person’s overall emotional, psychological and social wellbeing including how a person thinks, feel and acts. The children were taught about the importance of keeping good mental health to enhance their self-confidence and self-esteem. The resource person stressed on the importance of positive attitude and appraised that if the negative feelings become extreme it can hamper a person’s mental health leading to anxiety or depression. Therefore in order to have a sound emotional and mental health an individual should think before reacting and he/she should try and take a more positive view of the situation and should remain calm and might as well indulge in some other activity or self-talk which would help him divert his mind.

Excitement abounded as the Nursery students eagerly gathered for a special tour of school on Thursday, 4 May 2023. The purpose of the tour was to take the children on an enthralling journey through different areas of MBS International school. It helped them to become more acquainted with their surroundings and fostering a deeper appreciation for their learning environment.

 

As the tour commenced, the children formed a train and walked through the colourful corridors, which were adorned with exquisitely vibrant artwork made by students of the school. Their young eyes gleamed with wonder and delight as they gazed at the bright colours and intriguing shapes that enveloped them.

 

The students started from the reception area and then they moved towards the Principal’s office. They also visited various other rooms including the Vice Principal's office, Music room, Library, Wellness zone and the IT lab. They even visited the playground and eagerly absorbed everything they saw and heard.

The tour was not just a fun and exciting experience but it was also profoundly educational.

 

Overall, it was an extraordinary experience for the young students, providing them with a sense of familiarity and comfort in their own school environment.

Summer Fun -Nursery and Kindergarten

On Tuesday, 30 January 2024, MBS International School conducted ‘Best Out of Waste’ activity for the students of class I and II where they were given the opportunity to unleash their creativity. The class I students experimented with arranging the bangles to craft personalised pen stands whereas the class II students made wonderful paper bags. The activity aimed to showcase the resourcefulness of participants in repurposing commonly overlooked materials.
