Visit to Godhuli(Senior Citizen Home)
“True humanity lies in understanding others, caring for them, and treating everyone with dignity and respect.”
On 29 September 2026, the students of MBS International School visited Godhuli, a Senior Citizen Home, as part of an initiative to foster empathy, compassion, respect and a sense of social responsibility among young learners. The visit provided students with a meaningful opportunity to interact with the elderly and spend quality time with them.
The students presented a lively and meaningful Nukkad Natak, which conveyed an important social message and was highly appreciated by the residents of the home. The performance reflected the students’ confidence, creativity, teamwork and sensitivity towards social issues.
As a token of gratitude and affection, the students presented the elders with beautifully handcrafted wall hangings, handmade cards, Mandala paintings and decorated diyas. These creative items were prepared by the students under the Kaushal Vikas – CBSE Programme, showcasing their artistic skills, creativity and the spirit of learning through hands-on activities.
The students also recited self-composed poems, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to the interaction. The joyful atmosphere continued with an engaging session of Antakshari, in which both the students and the elders participated enthusiastically. The elders thoroughly enjoyed the activities and appreciated the creativity, efforts and warmth shown by the students.
The elders of Godhuli also shared their life experiences and valuable insights with the students. They encouraged them to respect and care for their parents, never let their parents down, work sincerely towards their goals and become responsible citizens who bring pride to their school, society and country. Their words left a lasting impression on the students and made the interaction deeply meaningful.
The visit was an enriching experience for everyone involved. It helped students understand the importance of respecting senior citizens, valuing relationships, expressing gratitude and contributing positively to society. The warmth and happiness exchanged during the visit made it a memorable and purposeful experience for both the students and the elders of Godhuli.
