My Best Diwali Memory

To celebrate the festival of lights through the art of expression, a Storytelling Activity on the theme “My Best Diwali Memory” was organised for the students of Class II on 30 October 2025 at MBS International School. The objective of the activity was to enhance children’s speaking skills, confidence, and creative thinking, while helping them reflect on the joy and values of Diwali celebrations.

The enthusiastic participants narrated their favourite Diwali memories with great excitement and confidence. From lighting diyas and decorating homes to spending time with family and sharing sweets, each story beautifully captured the true essence of the festival. The young storytellers used expressive gestures and cheerful voices to make their stories come alive. The activity not only helped students improve their oral communication and presentation skills but also encouraged them to express gratitude, love, and the spirit of togetherness.

    MBS International School organized an Inter-Class Competition titled “My Inspiration-Impersonating My Inspiration” for Class IV on 29th October 2025. Students enthusiastically participated in the competition, portraying a wide range of inspirational figures such as Mother Teresa, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Mahatma Gandhi, Kalpana Chawla, and Swami Vivekananda, among others.

    Each participant presented a 2–3 minute solo act, creatively using costumes and props to bring their chosen personalities to life.With expressive dialogues, apt costumes, and relevant props, participants presented impactful solo acts reflecting pride, courage, and compassion.

    The performances were filled with motivational messages and powerful dialogues, reflecting the students’ understanding of their role models’ contributions to society. The event not only showcased the children’s confidence, creativity, and expression skills but also instilled values of empathy, determination, and leadership.

      Tug of War is a popular outdoor game that is played during sports events and annual school functions. It is a team game where two groups compete by pulling opposite ends of a rope. The goal is to pull the other team across a designated line. This game requires strength, teamwork, coordination, and strategy.

        Talent Show

        On October 28, 2025, an exciting and vibrant 'Talent Show' was organized for Class I at MBS International School under the Creative Learning Initiative. The event aimed to provide young learners with an opportunity to express their unique talents and enhance their self-confidence. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their skills in singing, dancing, acting, recitation, storytelling, and stand-up comedy. Each performance reflected their creativity, confidence, and enthusiasm. The use of colourful costumes and simple props added charm to their acts, making the event more engaging and enjoyable. The Talent Show helped students overcome stage fear and boosted their public-speaking and presentation skills. It also encouraged peer learning and fostered a sense of appreciation for each other’s abilities. Overall, the event was a joyful celebration of creativity, confidence, and self-expression.

          Diwali Celebrations

          Festivals light up our lives with happiness and positivity

          The festival of lights, Diwali, was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm by the Nursery and Kindergarten students at MBS International School on 17 October 2025. The celebration aimed to make young learners aware of the significance of Diwali, the triumph of good over evil, and the importance of sharing joy with others. The day began with coloring and drawing competitions, where children expressed their creativity through beautiful Diwali-themed artwork. Bright diyas, rangolis, and fireworks filled their sheets with colors and festive charm. This was followed by a diya coloring activity,
          where students decorated diyas with paints and glitter, making them vibrant and full of festive spirit. A special Diwali Assembly was also conducted. The program included mesmerizing dance performances by the children that showcased the joy and energy of the festival. The highlight of the assembly was the Ganesh and Lakshmi Puja, where students offered prayers to seek blessings for prosperity, wisdom, and happiness. The entire atmosphere was filled with devotion, music, and festive delight. The celebration not only brought smiles and excitement but also taught students the values of unity, sharing, and respecting traditions. Overall, the Diwali celebration was a grand success, spreading light, love, and joy among students and teachers alike.

From vibrant flowers and leaves to bells and diyas, every decoration reflected the students’ dedication and artistic flair.Throughout the activity students demonstrated patience, planning, and a keen eye for aesthetics as they carefully arranged and adorned their torans.

                   On 15th October 2025, the students of Class III celebrated the spirit of Diwali with great enthusiasm through the ‘Diwali Dazzle – Inter-Class Diya Decoration Competition’. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for students to express their creativity and artistic talent while embracing the festive mood. The classrooms came alive with colours, excitement, and joy as students decorated their diyas beautifully using vibrant materials. Each diya reflected the children’s imagination, patience, and festive spirit. The activity encouraged them to explore their artistic skills and appreciate the cultural significance of Diwali, the festival that symbolizes light, positivity, and togetherness. The event created a cheerful and inspiring atmosphere where every student participated wholeheartedly.                     To celebrate the festival of lights, MBS International School conducted a ‘Paper Lantern Making’ activity for Class I students on Tuesday, 14th October 2025. The activity aimed to help children understand the true spirit of Diwali—spreading light, joy, and positivity.

                    Students enthusiastically created colourful lanterns using craft paper, ribbons, and decorative materials. The classroom glowed with creativity and festive cheer as children proudly displayed their beautiful creations. The activity was a delightful blend of art, culture, and learning, helping students celebrate Diwali in a fun and meaningful way.
